Cooney had pretty well had it when these two duked it out in 1987. Take the Spinks of that fight and pit him against the Cooney circa 1981/82. Who takes it ? I can still see Spinks winning, but over the distance, andmaybe split on the judges cards. As long as Cooney does n't connect and take Michael out. Which is highly possible.

Probably same scenario, but Cooney maybe flooring Michael early.

Hard to say but Spinks had the better overall talent

Spinks still wins, but takes some shots, maybe even a knockdown

    they are the same age.
spinks himself was not prime in this fight as it was just before his LKO1 to tyson and someone here said that spinks' knees were gone by that time. a different outcome could have also happened even if you take the same spinks and cooney that fought and make a rematch. however , cooney did not deserve a rematch as he was stopped by spinks and by holmes whom spinks twice took the distance and closely in doing so.
    spinks was better.
and why i can not watch the fight and i mean the full fight not just the stoppage.
