Larry by decision .. too fast, too well conditioned, too hard to hit when focused ... he'd take a decision over a tough but out gamed Lewis ...

That's the nail on the head right there.

Anyone with a style allowing multiple shots to be landed is going to really struggle against massive punchers like wlad and lewis.

I see Holmes winning more rounds but being knocked down once on the way making it a possible draw

I see Holmes winning, but it'd be a tight UD or maybe even a MD/SD. I see Holmes outboxing Lewis to get the points lead but I can also see Holmes going down from Lewis' big right.

:thumbsup agreed. That's fine against a relatively weak puncher like Holyfield, but against someone with massive one shot power like Wlad or Lennox? Not going to end well

Even after massive deliberation I still can't pick between larry and lewis both possess an excellent jab and the ability to dig deep when it really counts.

A draw really isn't beyond doubt here and i'm more than happy to sit on the fence with this one.

  7. Wlad wouldn't let his hands go enough to beat Bowe IMO.

I don't think so. I think Lewis has enough endurance to last the distance; even if outboxed and badly shaken by Larry

There is a chance of a TKO, anyway, if Larry manages to connect enough combos as to stun Lewis and force a stoppage ala McCall vs Lewis

I can't pick a winner with any certainty here but one thing comes to mind and that is that Holmes was decked by right hands from Shavers and Snipes and that seems to be the punch he was most susceptible to being hurt with. Now if Lewis hurts Larry or decks him with one I think he stands a good chance of finishing him as he was a more polished fighter than either Renaldo or Earnie and overall better boxer than the two. If Shavers had picked his shots more carefully after decking Larry instead of winging wild rights that caught only air he might have won the title. I don't think Lennox would do that plus he had a more varied arsenal. I could see him setting up another big right with a few well placed jabs and hooks before lowering the boom. It's a possible scenario and if you add his size and reach into the equation it becomes even more possible. I'd call this a 50/50 contest. Both men never faced a fighter of each others caliber which is why I can't pick a winner with any certainty.

I'm not sure Lewis would stop Holmes, but knocking him down - yes, that's possible.
