2. Haye has the speed/reactions/range/power to worry Wlad early. No Haye isn't that proven but styles make fights. Wlad has better technical ability and range, which could pick Haye's wide defense apart, Haye's stamina is a bit poor after the first few rounds. Yes I'm not sure on this 1

Exactly. Not to sound like a racist nuthugger, but from day one, I've maintained Haye's style or at least what we've seen of him at HW will not match up well with Wlad. He's a counter puncher, he fights off the backfoot, he doesn't pressure. His speed is still going to be troubling but I don't think it will be enough to break down the Champion.

I don't even know which one I like more. It depends on whether I'm feeling funky and romantic or more romantic and funky.

 

If Lewis saw that you didn't like the wind he'd bring a gale. He was understandably weary against Holyfield (a little too cautious in that instance), but if he saw that you didn't like the back foot - Golota and Grant - he'd take it to you with the kind of firepower which could close the deal in a hurry.

Wladimir, for all his neat, safe boxing and wall-denting power, is liable to shudder behind his guard when Lewis tries on a few looping rights. And as soon as the inevitable concern stiffens his joints, the roof would fall in.

The chance of vice-versa is much slimmer. The one thing that kept Vitali in there, Wlad does not boast.

A couple of questions to you:

1) Who hits harder - Lennox or Wlad? Both Manny Steward and Phil Jackson have said that Wlad hits harder. Do you agree with them?

At the end of the day, this is pretty much how I see it as well. If it's an outside fight Wlad holds his own and perhaps even has an edge but inside, Lewis would school him, and Lewis would make it an inside fight if he felt he had to.

 

Wlad as at least an 80% favorite. I think the books are shortchanging his chances.

 

Bingo. You can't counter-punch Wlad. Wlad doesn't give you the chance. Haye's going to be picked apart, and probably shell up and hope to reign a lucky haymaker in sometime during the mid rounds. Wlad is way to small of a favor in the fight.
