The best versions of each. In this alternative universe, forget that they are actually brothers,so sibling love does n't get in the way of them fighting each other. I find it very hard to call. Wladimir is more of the natural athlete, while Vitali the more solid puncher.
No. Wlad is a far better puncher and naturaly more athletic. Vitali is stronger and more durable. I'm not 100% decided on this fight. I don't think Vitali has the ability to blitz Wlad like a lot of ATG's could do and i also remember how much Vitali's defence slipped when he fought someone his one size. Having said that, Vitali could set a pace that would drag Wlad in to deep water, and he has the chin and recovery to weather Wlad's power. I would probably go with Vitali by a late accumulation stoppage with a lot of drama along the way.
I have always thought Vitali was the superior of the 2 brothers. While Wlad has definitely improved under Steward, what he has learned would not help much against Vitali.
I think Wladimir is the better all round fighter and ranks higher as an ATG. But in a fight I'd favour Vitali more often
Interestingly, neither fighter has beaten anyone nearly of the caliber of the other. In my opinion anyway.
Wlad TKO11. Advantages in one-shot power, he's a sharper, snappier, crisper puncher. Far more accurate, far superior timing. Better range control, reach advantage, superior jab. Quicker of hand and foot, better footwork, ties up better inside, defensively sounder in terms of his ability to block and parry shots as opposed to just moving out of range or slipping them like Vitali. Greater variety of punches, better combinations when he lets them go, better punching form. Vitali's advantages? His chin, that's about it. And the disparity is not as great as people like to believe. Vitali's isn't as tested as people think and he's been hurt by a single shot from Sanders and been running around the ring hurt desperately trying to stay up. The difference would be that Wlad would have got put on the floor by that same shot, but would have still got up. Vitali has no chance of out-boxing his brother who is the far superior boxer. If he brawls, people assume that his chin will hold up and Wlad's won't. If he brawls, Wlad will be landing power punches that hurt Vitali and back him up, and he's far more likely to be landing them. Wlad's range control and patient approach would see Vitali's work-rate lower aswell because he'd be setting traps that Vitali would be well aware of. Also, he's an arm-puncher.
vitali would know if it went the distance he would not get win the a decision so perhaps he would go all out to ko wlad , personally i favour vitali to rough his brother up and stop him , but if it goes past the 8th i would take wlad by decision
