What Prime Foreman in the 70s would do in the current heavyweight division? If he faces guys like Deontay Wilder, Alexander Povetkin, Andy Ruiz Jr, Tony Thompson, Anthony Joshua, Wladimir Klitschko? I can see Foreman destroying even Wladimir Klitschko. He has the kind of style to beat Wlad. Jump on him in the 1st round and KO Wlad.
A prime Foreman was an absolute beast. He was one of the best heavyweights of all times. He would be named "the best ever" instead of Ali had he not lost "Rumble in Jungle" by underestimating his opponent. With today's nutrition and training techniques, I'd only laugh whoever claims he'd not be the absolute dominating force in the Heavyweight. If only moronic judges didn't give his last fight to Briggs outrageously on points, he could even beat Lennox Lewis at the age of 50. And I'm a Lennox fan saying that.
Does nothing in this era: 1. He has a glass chin and glass gas tank 2. Stricter PED testing may seem him exposed 3. Dereck Chisora would ruin him and not in a good way :yep
Too slow, and too predictable. Top 15 - 25. The rumble WAS him in his prime and have you EVER seen a more stupid example of a world champion having no plan B at all?
I don't agree with the first part. I think that if Wilder could win a belt so could Foreman. But I agree with the second part, Foreman was just swing. No plan B at all Straight caveman stuff.
He'd walk through anyone not named Klitschko. Povetkin would be made for him, cant see it going beyond 2 rounds. Byrd, watch what Ibeabuchi did to Byrd, Foreman repeats this only quicker. Haye was under a lot of pressure from Chisora before the KO came, Foreman would have him running and just trying to survive. Foreman breaks him down stops him in the middle rounds. Pulev gets out jabbed, out muscled and over powered another mid round KO. Stiverne too immobile gets pinned to the ropes and battered, ref probably steps in to prevent him being seriously hurt, doesn't go more than 4 rounds. Wilder folds soon after the first body shot lands on his scrawny body. Wlad is a great so has a chance to win on points if he can tie Foreman up for 12 rounds but with his chin he's more likely to get stopped while ahead on the scorecards. Vitali has the best chance, he's durable and could out point Foreman, also has great stamina so could at least take Foremen late and not be too fatigued. But Lewis was grinding him down and Foreman hits harder and cut off the ring better than Lewis. I could see him grinding Vitali down to get the stoppage, maybe another stoppage loss due to cuts for Vitali.
George would beat some but get destroyed but the likes of LL, wlad and for sure lose to later 90's holy. he was seriously just too slow and had terrible condition back then. the 38 yr old foreman would beat the prime foreman due to knowing how to conserve energy and not fight like a moron
