Morrisons win over George was pretty close, and that was the 44 year old version. Young George steamrolls Morrison in 2 rounds.
I'd expect Foreman in his prime to destroy Morrison anywhere between the first and 5th round. But with Foreman in his prime there was always the chance of him with his offensive minded style getting caught especially against a big puncher like Morrison. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Morrison rocking Foreman at some point maybe even dropping him but even if that is the case I still think Foreman would rally back and finish Morrison off not long after.
It would be Foreman-Lyle part 2, Morrison would be playing the part of Lyle.. I think George would visit the canvas in this fight, but would be ultimately prevail by 7th round stoppage.. Morrison is a little quicker and athletic than the Lumbering Foreman , but at the end of the day George is just too big and strong..
Morrison would be lucky to do as well as Lyle or last 7 rounds. That was a past psychological prime Foreman due to the Ali fight, only having fough\t the 5 men in 1 night debacle in Montreal 15 months or so ago. And Lyle benefited from one round where he was being rocked being erroneously ended after 2 minutes. Given this Foreman, & Morrison his PEDs, maybe Morrison would rock Foreman like the Lyle fight & get to the middle rounds.
The Young George Foreman would have dispatched of Tommy Morrison as easily as he did Boone Kirkman. Forget about this business of Tommy putting Foreman on the deck....Lyle did that because he could take a shot better than Morrison, and survive a bit...to be able to land his own monster shots on George. Morrison would not be so fortunate...Young Foreman would be all over Morrison...decking him in the first and nearly finishing him...Tommy would just bare make it to the second round when Foreman finishes him off. I praise and give credit to Tommy all the time for beating the old Foreman...what a disciplined job he did....and what makes it seem even better is in comparison to Foreman ko'ing Moorer after that.,,,,but we're talking about Young George Foreman here....a completely different animal. That version of Foreman could have ko'ed Morrison and Moorer in the same night.
The Duke in 7. Old George was a tank and everytime he grazed Tommy's jaw, he wobbled him. Tommy's superior speed would have been a massive advantage against a Prime Foreman. Young George (1969-71) would have had a better chance, but my pick is the Duke.
