No one at Heavyweight Ever stopped James Toney. So how about the Foreman that's just crushed Smokin Joe?
Toney by decision. Smaller, yes…but far too smooth an operator for Foreman. He would run rings around him from the sixth onward.
I don't see it myself. I think George has a good shot at stopping him. If a guy like Samuel peter can hurt him I definitely see George going one further.
You are an all-class gent in your reply, Sir. I’d have torn the man who picked Toney over Foreman asunder LOL.
Don’t think many KO Toney, but I see Foreman out working him because Toney won’t be able to open up as much due to the difference in size and power, meaning if Toney did open up more, he would soon realise it’s not a good idea. Foreman decision.
Nah, young Foreman was too crude and straight forward to crack the enigma that was Toney's defence. If he did KO Toney it would be accumulation and I just don't see Big George getting past a defence as layered as Toney's when he couldn't get past the defences of a man standing in front of him and laying on the ropes.
I feel that falling Foreman's technique crude is a bit misleading. On top of that, George didn't get necessarily "befuddled" by Ali's defense, he still wailed on him round after round. Muhammad was simply too durable, and was prepared for all of what Foreman could do- And yet he still had to eat body shot after body shot.
