I voted for Mayweather, I like Roach better as trainer. Till that loss to Lockridge, Maywaether was being called next great champ. He did have weak chin, but try getting to it. Roach would have a chance, but c'mon, Mayweather would have to be favorite in odds.

Now if I needed someone to train a fighter, no doubt, Roach over Mayweather.

 

How competitive was Roger vs Pernell? Scorecards were relatively close, but I haven't seen the fight.

There is a reason why Roach till this day doesn't talk **** back to Roger Mayweather. Roger use to put it on his ass in the gym sparring. Roger fought some great fighters in his day and won 2 titles as well. He would have stopped Freddie and there is nothing else to talk about. Roger didn't have the best chin around but Roach wouldn't have put him on his ass.

The more I think about it, the more I' want to see this fight! Roger would likely outbox him, but I wouldn't be surprised if a looping shot from Roach coming forward caught Roger and hurt him.

 

Freddie was tough but Roger had the better boxing skill
