Prime Galindez vs Prime Matthew Saad

From 1975 - early 1981, one of the two of these fighters ^ was the best
of the "Golden Age of Lightheavies (about 15 fighters can be included in this
    Golden Age category)".

Who would be the real King of the "Golden Age of Lightheavies"
if they could have met with both having their "prime skills"?

Giving an edge to Saad. Close though because both were 15 rd fighters. Saad carried that power til the last min of the last rd. That's the deciding factor for me

    Galindez.

I think Vic busts him up or stops him late in a back and forth fight. Like a left hook counter off the ropes thing. But I also think Galindez can keep him in that 2nd gear that Saad fought out of so often---Saad was only a killer when he put it in 4th gear. But guys could and did keep him out of that gear and I think Galindez certainly does.

Saad to outlast Galindez in a competitive fight.

He has more power and is just as resilent and with as good stamina.

Saad could also move and box if he had to.

I don't think he would just let Galindez counter him off the ropes.

Saad by 15 round decision or late stoppage.

A prime Galinez barely got by Yacqui Lopez and Richie Kates.

Prime Saad was a bit better than those two.

Who kept him out of that gear in his prime for an entire fight? Maybe Gregory when Saad was still on the way up.

Braxton did but that was a weight drained and past his peak Saad.

He was a slow starter but by the end he always found the highest gear.

Conteh did keep him at bay but couldn't sustain it for the whole fight.

A bout I went to, Grant sure did. And others.

Until Saad steps on the gas he reminds me of Mike Weaver. He steps on the gas when he hurts a guy or when the other guy is hurting him. Then, watch out. The rest of the time he's in that 2nd gear getting hit and not doing much---that's why so many tough bouts for the guy. If he came out and fought in 4th gear at all times, he'd have been a quick destroyer. But that was not what he did.

Galindez by a hair. Had enough to get by Saad. Can't see Saad stopping Victor.
