:lol:that is a pick em fight for me. however, I think big George would catch him and knock him out in about 5 or 6. it would be one hell of a fight while it lasted . a real classic. it is one of those that when I think about it I find myself flip flopping every few seconds about it.

    so...no one could box a bit in70s?

    also no cws in 70s.

perhaps there should be lower age limit for contributions to classic discussion?

Give me a break. Lewis couldn't even decapitate a 6 foot, fat, bloated 35 year old Ray Mercer. In fact, Mercer was peppering his with jabs, backing him up and beat the **** out of him. You can make a case that Mercer won that fight, but suddenly he destroys Foreman??

Posters like you need a bit of perspective.

Sure people could box. Still they were 6"0 and 200 lbs. Foreman looked good beating up guys who were 25 lbs lighter than him. Doesn't exactly prove he's a "heavyweight monster" now does it?

So Norton and Lyle, who were both 6'3'' and 220 with chiseled physiques were cruiserweights? Who are all these 200 pound guys you're talking about?

    Let's break this match-up down a bit.

Lewis is the bigger man with the better skillset (a bit overstated, though), and more discipline. However, he had mediocre stamina even at his best, had to play possum often because he couldn't fight the full 3 minutes, and had a vulnerable pair of whiskers.

Foreman by comparison is a relentless bomber, with knockout power in both fists, a strong chin and an extremely aggressive approach.

If people can't see why this would be a difficult match-up for Lewis, they should find another sport to follow.

Mmm..Liked both fighters. If Lewis could take Foreman's punches he would take him apart as he beats George in most departments but his chin was his achilles heel as McCall and Rahman proved. Suspect Lewis gets nailed after dominating Foreman early on and is subsequently stopped. Foreman KO5 Lewis:patsch

Foreman was in his 40's at this point, though. We're talking about prime Foreman.

Agreed! As much as I like Big George, Lennox can do more. Better movement, bigger, faster, more athletic and hit hard enough to keep Foreman honest.

I think Foreman beats Rahman and McCall 10 out of 10
