I don't think Thomas would do it. Young would avoid the jab and counter with right hands and jabs.

Tucker would certainly not knock him out. Young is too durable and sneaky for that to happen.

Tubbs lol? Young would definitely beat Tubbs. Young has more quality wins and has a better defense then tubbs.

Witherspoons open defense and inconsistency would see him losing a decision

Green? hell no. Wasn't in Young's class.

Spinks was not a good heavyweight, definitely unproven, I see Spinks losing a close decision

Tyrell Biggs would certainly not beat Young... He did nothing to prove this

Douglas? **** off. Douglas had one great preformance when he was actually in shape and that was Tyson 1. And that was in the 90s. Pre Tyson Douglas never showed up in the same shape.

The fact that you actually thought Cooney "sparked" young proves you have no credibility. Young did NOT get sparked. Smarten up.

    A duel prediction here:

1988 Tyson beats Foreman of 1973 on points, since Tyson had better finess and hand speed than Foreman ever had... Tyson W 12 Foreman....

BUT! 1990 Foreman hammers 1988 Tyson for a brutal KO in 6 rds... 1990 Foreman was much better skilled and composed under the eyeballs of Charlie Shipes and Archie Moore....

Young would get his ass whooped by all of those fighters. Don't tell me you think think this because he beat slow plodding Foreman and Rony Lyle was also very plodding. He'd be fighting bigger, athletic fighters, with boxing skills and all his avantages that he had over the plodding 70 heavy's he wouldn't have no more. Wait did you just say spinks wasn't that good at heayweight? Oh I know why, it's because Tyson bruttally knocked him out, if he would won that fight you'd been saying he's one of the greatest fighters of all time. He won every heavyweight fight, except Tyson and before you bring up Holmes, he beat Holmes not once but twice. Young could never stay in a fight with holmes and be competitive.

  6. really i think that foreman 73-74 would ko any version of tyson.
old foreman 90-91 might ko tyson as well.

prime tyson would beat the version of george who lost against briggs and morrison by ud.

You mean the same 1990 Foreman who ducked a lot of shot 80's heavyweights when he made a comeback and took the easier route and the one that Holyfield totally outclassed. Please, 1988 Tyson would beat him from piller to post.

  8. tommy ... ignore him

Learn something about the sport of boxing, instead putting foremans nuts your mouth.

I seriously doubt it. He would still have defensive advantages and have the speed to give them all they could handle
Yeah, Spinks clearly wasn't that good at heavyweight...He beat a past it larry holmes, lost to him, beat tangsted, beat a washed up cooney, then got KO'd by mike tyson.
    Period.
Young could stay in a fight with Holmes. Holmes would have had trouble with his awkwardness and defense.
Like i said the fact that you even brought up the Cooney fight takes away ALL your credibility.

I have heard that Cus D'Matto or at least the Tyson camp was pestmistict about Tyson's chances with Foreman. I'm not sure if they ment the young Foreman or the more savvy old Foreman. If it was the old Foreman it would have to been someone else as D'Matto had pased away by than.
I think this is important to consider but I don't really agree with the pestmistic view.

This fight is going to be at mid to close range. Foreman is big 6′ 3½″ and an 82" reach. He is not known for useing his advantages in size and reach to controll the outside. Insteed he swarms his oppoent. Tyson is also not a classic boxer either.

I think the key avantages for Tyson are that in close range his shoter arms will give him the advantage and that he is the better defensive boxer. Besides not using his size will Foreman is really stiff. While Tyson is not. You can hit as hard as you want, but if you can't hit anything what's the point. I am also more confident about Tyson's durbality in a fight like this than I am about Foreman's.

I will go with Tyson early. Very early.
