Of course he deserve praise for his fight against Lennox, the thing is it's VK's only big name on resume and Lewis was at that time past his prime. Vitali was a great boxer and had a great chin, but because of lack of quality opponents his chin and boxing skills weren't tested enough to regard him so highly as you do it. There are too many questions imo. His chin may be top3 but we will never know.

I always thought Lewis wasn't prime anymore and Vitali hadn't hit his yet...

Foreman fought as the "big" fighter in his time although he was just 6-3, 217. He wouldn't be "big" in with either K brother. He held his hands down walked forward with his chin up. He never fought a fighter remotely like either K brother. Both are much bigger than Foreman, probably stronger, quicker, and have better stamina. I'd pick both of them to beat him. Wlad could be knocked down and hurt, but his jab should take care of the much smaller and slower Foreman. Vitali would beat him up and stop him mid to late rounds.

I agree Pat M, this for me is the most likely outcome

I'd take him over both personally.

To be fair George weighed 220+ for more fights that the lightish 217.5 he came in for the title winning effort.

I don't see George going 2-0 here. His flaws and stamina cost him against one of the brothers. I agree with consensus it is Vitali----that underrated footwork and oddball style. Throws every punch in the book and most important he was the rare breed that followed up his combos with the last punch being a jab. Why more guys never did this I never understood, but it re-sets the distance and must land at like 80 or 90 percent. It just doesn't ever seem to miss with Vitali. And there he is after his combos and he's like 7 feet away from the opponent. I think that is a big big problem for young George.

If you remember, there was some talk of a Vitali--Foreman fight if Klitschko had defeated Lennox. I tend to think it was a lot of talk and really do not think George signs the contract. At that stage of the game, old George did not need that kind of opponent. Either Lennox or Vitali would have been real real bad back then and to me anyway, kind of like Duran in there against Joppy.

    Say what ?

VK throws ever punch in the book ? Are you high? He is a one two arm puncher with zero inside game, does not clinch or does not have the ability to, he aint pulling a Ali holding behind the head, he does not know how to, pretty much no uppercut and rarely used hooks= he is a one two fighter, period.

Foreman unraveled against Ali......VK quit against Byrd who is not even in the same continent as Ali...........Foreman lasted the distance with Young vs VK who was stopped like a rented mule against old Man Lewis.

The only time VK stepped up he lost.......and young Foreman is a major step up from Byrd/Grandpa Lewis.......and Foreman would have walked thru those two who VK faced with zero problems.

What is VK's best "win"? TKO6.

WK? Quit against Purrity, was walked down with zero finesse by human punch bag Brewster, blitzed by a one trick pony who never won a meaningful fight before or after.........Foreman is all wrong for WK, he will never get his jab going, he is going to be put on the back foot without the ability to control the pace/fight, will panic, guaranteed, because he cannot, I repeat, cannot fight on instinct and will get Ko'ed......this is going to be a replay of the Norton fight.

I'm pretty darn confident that Foreman dispatches Wlad relatively easily.

I'm less confident he beats VK

Both men KO him. Foreman wouldn't lay a glove on them.

Sooo ,,a flat footed Vitali is going to stand in front of,,,George Foreman.? Nope,,, as for Wlad, George would go right at him from the opening bell to KO a man with a bad chin, Foreman knows that, Wlad would know that, and Wlad would know that Foreman knows that

Uh,, who has Wlad as a consensus top 10, Lamon Brewster? Ross Purity? Flaying insults doesn't help an intellectual argument, it exposes the lack of one.
