Defence, combinations, movement. GMan was a scary fighter but he was pretty one dimensional hence why he has a couple of early losses when he was out boxed. He never should of left Steward. Steward himself said GMan fell in love with his power and neglected other aspects of the game. Had he stuck with Steward he might of grown into a far more complete fighter but we will never know what could of been.
Lol casuals comparing Jacobs with Mcclellan. Jacobs has a glass chin and is afraid to be hit. He still almost beat GGG. Mcclellan has a much better chin and wasn't afraid to be hit. G-Man destroyed GGG and Canelo in the same night.
Golovkin isn't known to trade with guys who have speed and power and he will need a lot more than a jab to keep McCellan off him , so Gman UD or late stoppage. Would Golovkin even fight him thats the real question. If Brook can light GGG up , imagine what Gmam with more height and a whopping 7 inch reach advantage would do? That huge reach advantage plus brute power and speed would be a nightmare for GG.
Light him up ?? You mean landed on him with zero effects lol, then proceeded to have his face pushed in in the process
GGG barely beat Daniel f'n Jacobs, couldn't figure out the tortoise Canelo and looked like **** against Kell Brook but despite that he would apparently destroy McClellan a big SMW with the power of a cruiserweight who is superior in every department to to Canelo and Jacobs. Yeah, sure.
These people are stupid. GGG faced no one like Mcclellan. He was a very good boxer with fast hands and wicked power. That uppercut would have landed with at least 50% more power.
You have to understand that ggg fans are new in to boxing and mostly mma fans! They lack a lot of boxing knowledge! Is pathetic
Looks like McClellan here is the one that gets stupidly overrated. When did he ever KO opponents late or outboxed his opponent clearly? Answer... never. When did he ever KO a above low level journeyman opponent that hadn't been KO'd before? Answer... never. People seem to blindly stare at him coming in as a Cruiser for a 160 fight and bash his opponents over the head. If you didn't had the chin, then you'd be smashed, even if you're the better boxer like Jackson but not known for a sturdy chin. If they could stand up to his power past a couple of rounds he either lost or eeked out a decision. Toney was mentioned, and I'm almost 100% sure that JT would either have levelled McC or won a wide UD. The bodysnatcher would have probably done him in too. RJJ maybe would have been KO'd once in 4 fights but won the other 3. He wasn't superman, he was a clear example of a weight bully. McClellan was a LHW/Cruiser with punching power fighting at Middleweight. Other question is, would he get past modern day drugtesting, because there's not much chance he made the weight without the help of any illegal substances to rehydrate to CW status, so there's that too. He was known to have very low moral standards and so it's likely that it wasn't just diuretics either.
Lol, imagine if G-Man fought either of the hungry young Charlo house cats and they came out in their stupid lion outfit? Lampley: folks, look at the spped and skill of McLellan and how he is employing both against such a talented and highly touted young fighter! RJJ: WTF are you talking about him? Hes trying to stick the kid in a effing microwave, dumbass! Lampley: But still, the tenacity and determination hes exhibiting is tremendous. We the spectators are truly witnessing greatness and something truly unique! RJJ: Alright I'm done, I'm good, cant pay me enough to sit next to this idiot anymore.
Okay so i'm a GGG fan but he is in this Era a good fighter but you put him in with Benn and Gerald i believe he would lose,, To much power and effort imagine a Kell Brook but with power, speed and willingness,, Either would beat both Canelo or GGG in my view,,
Spin it anyway you like, McClellan has better wins than GGG in a much better era, and he would slice through Jacobs and Canelo like a knife through butter.
