prime Gerald McClellan vs. GGG who you got

McClellan would decimate Jacobs in 1-3 rounds.

I am on the fence with GGG-McClellan. Could go either way.

 

This discussion has been here many times.
Every time people big McC up in the same way. The terms "break down", "stops .... late" and such used by people who obviously didn't follow the man's career because that's not who he was.
If you didn't have a good chin you were F-ed, because you probably couldn't make it past the first couple of rounds, even when very good. But if you had a chin then all bets were off, because he doesn't wear boxers down, he didn't carry power to the second half of the fight.

That's why I favor most big names of the time against him. Yes, most of those were roid monsters who were better than what we have now, but some weren't known for their chin either.

You won't agree with me anyway, so I'll leave it with this. McClellan was a 6 round weight bully in my opinion.

No I don't think Pavlik beats either one, only reason why Pavlik got Taylor out of there was because his chin was not as good as Canelos or ggg, if not Taylor would've won, that's the only top elite win he has on his resume

 

That's not even the best punch anybody ever landed on GGG. Remember Canelo's face after he wound up from the front row, landed a haymaker and GGG just kept coming forward without a shrug? LOL.

It's interesting that the prominent US "middleweight" greats being touted here... McClellan, pavlik, Jacobs...were really cruiser weight sized weight bullies who were all exposed by superior non_ US real middleweights...who were invariably superior boxers! (Sergio, canelo, GGG).
