You're the one that has to walk around looking like that though. I bet you wish you could forget it.

Taylor was not the same in the rematch after being brutally stopped, I think style make fights no matter how "tall" you are that's why I pick Canelo to beat him, and if Taylor could badly hurt Pavlik I can already imagine what ggg will do to him.. just my opinion

Excellent post.. True definition of the term "weight bully" McClellan was, paid the price though didn't he, imo that's what caused his brain injury

    This is a brilliant question!

One I asked myself a few years ago.

    And I still don't know.

I think my head hints at Golvkin, as McClellan neglected so many fundamentals, and Golovkin has such a sound amateur-based game with that pulverising jab - but if anyone in recent middleweight history could get GGG out of there (hypothetical since he's never even been seriously hurt) it would be McClellan, as he has devastating power, good speed and footwork, unreal aggression and a good chin of his own.

In short, if GGG takes it into the late rounds then he wins but it's damn close.

However there's no way I'm putting my house on it.

In a fast paced fight, having to stave off a relentless puncher, McClellan's weight cutting WILL come in to play in this fight after looking good in parts

The thing is, i can't see GGG pulling a Nigel Benn comeback if McClellan manage to hurt him early.

Gerald lost to two bums he should have annihilated. GGG would be crucified for losing to those guys. But Gerald was still a monster puncher with a good chin. I think he had a good chance.

Benn was prone to being caught and not being the sturdiest, I cant believe still how McClellan let him off the hook. I've said it on here before though, McClellan went in to that fight damaged, reports was of him being wobbled by a jab and blinking heavily a former sparring partner was saying, how he had headaches etc, the same blinking in the Benn fight, like he was trying to clear his eyesight. A good team around him and he would've been took for scans before the Benn fight, he would've been made to retire, there was clearly something wrong ! Healthy McClellan imo always beats Benn and early
