    Briggs 260lb
    Johnson 243lb
    Peter 254lb
    Sanders 235lb
    Puritty 248lb

... Beat them all. Lewis was the ONLY big man he never beat, and he was beating him too before the stoppage.

I see your point and i agree, wladimir was the same, i knew that they were winning because they were the only athletic giants from the era, when wlad fought the first Athletic guy taller than him(fury) he got exposed.
If a guy like Ali was 6'6 he would have beaten wladimir with 1 hand in his back.

Tall fighters hus height: got his face destroyed by faded Lewis, struggled with old/fat sanders who collapsed from exhaustion and went the distance with no name Timo

Gerry gets **** on and a lot of unfair treatment but he has no chance against Vitali. Vitali would beat him easily.

Cooney is a type of guy Vitali would beat. Like Cooney , Vitali's best wins are two guys washed up and past prime.

Vitali, easily. Wins 8 of 10 rounds and then stops "Gentleman" . Gerry's not going to bumrush and overwhelm Vit and he's certainly not going to outbox him. I see a lot of counter rights landing on Gerry's dome and his gazelle balance withering over the rounds. Vitali has opportunities to stop it earlier but stays safe.

Agree. Are some posters on here joking. Vitali is bigger than Cooney and much more durable.

Cooney might make it interesting early, but that's about it.

Vitali would beat him to the punch with straighter longer punches and outwork him. Eventually after 8 or 9 rounds Cooney Completely Crumbles.

I have to go with Vitali Klitchko by a knockout. Gerry Cooney would be fighting a fighter that is not old enough to qualify for a Rest Home for the aged or Social Security , like has been's, Ken Norton and Jimmy Young. I have noticed that Gerry did have balance issues when getting ready to set up his punches, a little on the clumsy side, he was gangly. Vitali has better balance a good left jab. Vitali by KO 5.

Cooney certainly hits harder than Vitali but Vitali's durability and Cooney simply not being that good go a long way to negating that. Cooney's only chance is getting Vitali out of there in the first 3 or 4 rounds for mine and that chance is slim. Vitali's a bit of a clubber so i could see Cooney maybe lasting some rounds. Having said that i don't think he takes a punch overly well either. Vitali TKO 3 - 7.

??? Such as Vitali had head movement and used his feet to to avoid punches. He was not a lean back type only.

This is a physical and mental mis match. Cooney would not hear the bell in round 5.
