Hagler is one of the top 10 middleweights of all time, yes.
    IMO.

His record is great. Undisputed champion for almost 7 years, 12 defenses of the title. Never KO'd. Only 3 career losses - two were disputed decisions.
Never legitimately knocked down. Fought and beat sluggers, boxers, short and tall.
A great boxer-fighter-puncher in his own right, skillful and ferocious.

I can't really excuse his performance against Leonard, who he should have beat emphatically. Still, the decision is disputable.

He's up there in the top 10.

  5. top ten? he is top 3 hands down. h2h i would pick only monzon and robinson to beat him, lamotta would be competent like harry,charles,jones,hopkins..

Hagler a great MW, but not to include Mickey Walker, who fought heavyweights amongst his victims, and had more than twice as many fights
in his career is a joke.
If a Vito Antefeurmo could give Marvin Hagler 2 tough close fights, a Harry Greb, tougher and 3 times as fast as Vito ,would have windmilled Hagler to a unanimous defeat...
And I would pick a prime Freddie Steele ,a GREAT boxer-puncher, to whip Hagler, before Freddie Steele's breastbone career ending injury.
Hagler was a top fighter, but he was no Ray Robinson, for sure .

Hagler is definitely #1 for me. Monzon a close second.

The only guy I might rank over Marvin would be Greb.

Please stop your old-day-fighter-cocksucking ways you dumb ****ish ****face.

HAGLER IS THE GREATEST MIDDLEWEIGHT OF ALL TIME. Next is SRR, then Greb, then Monzon.

    What is wrong with you?

Burt is hugely valuable to the forum. He brings first-person accounts of fighters only two or three other guys on the board ever saw. Why do you have to talk to him this way even if you disagree with him?
