Thats right I don't know them because you say I don't. Ricky Hatton fan in moronic ******** outburst shocker. Don't kid yourself into thinking you have knowledge... The point I am getting at Nas relied on power and was pretty much one dimensional when you look at it from a neutral side of things. Barrera wasn't hence once he came up against someone who wouldn't be drawn into his games and had a better knowledge of the game and more skills in his arsenal he blew it....
Marquez can be drawn in to a war, I think he takes some big shots from Hamed, maybe goes down once or twice. But in all, is too good for Hamed and obtains a convincing victory over 12.
I`ll give Hamed a vote simply because I think he has close to a 50/50 shot... the Naz that fought Barrera wasn`t the best Naz... I`m not saying he wasn`t prepared, he was 100% ready, but he had lost a lot of his reflexes & focused on his power too much, the young Hamed that beat Robinson & Badillo would have been able to mix it with the elite like Marquez, whether he wins or not I don`t know but he ain`t standing still & getting schooled. Marquez is a great fighter but he gets a little overrated technically IMO, I mean he lost 12-0 to the best technical boxer he ever faced & it just happened to be the biggest fight of his life... shout about a few pounds over weight all you like but that shouldn`t happen, he should have at least won a ****ing round. (For the record, I like Marquez, just calling it like I see it... reality check style)
To be fair, he got drawn in to that bout too much from the get go. He was being labelled as the power puncher, and the aggressor. He was convinced he had the tools as an aggressive boxer (with the "added muscle") to do what Castillo didn't, and get the 'W' on his record through aggressive pressure. That's how I remember it anyway. Mayweather feasts on that sort of thing, especially when he has a healthy height, reach, and athletic advantage. Not saying Marquez would have come even close to beating him if he sat back a bit more and looked for counters, openings...because there were times when Marquez looked completely confused. But, he did have success once or twice when he was more calculated about his approach.
None of these fighters listed here was anything special, especially when Hamed fought them. Not a single one. They were just a bunch of pretty good alphabet beltholders at best.So what they held belts? It's just a reflection on how mediocre the division was then and what has illed boxing since the alphabet groups got the power and money to run the show.Quick question for you:which one of the featherweights you listed is REMOTELY on par with either JMM or MAB?
