It has to be surely? Hamed only fought one great fighter in his career and was virtually shut out. If he beat some great fighters in his prime, maybe we could say "Hamed wasn't at his best against Barrera, instead, watch him vs. ____, an ATG who he beat". You can't do that with Hamed. When it's him vs. a great fighter, there has to be some reference to the Barrera bout as it was the only time he faced an elite fighter. He looked great in some of his 'prime' fights, but who was he beating? It's exactly the same as when people get overexcitied about Pavlik slaughtering Lockett or Klitschko wiping the floor with Austin. You have to step back and admit that it is of no reflection to how they do against a top class opponent. Anyway, I think Pacquiao would beat Hamed. Good, interesting fight but he is too strong, too skilled and hits too hard.
Hamed was just as fast and very awkward ... I don't think that Pac's boxing was ever good enough to offset Hamed. Hamed would either take it by decision or possibly knock him out in late rounds.
I think a 50/50 split here is a pretty good gauge of what the odds would be going into a fight between these two. The only thing you could safely bet on would be that someones head would get knocked the **** off!
Wow this is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Please replace the word PAc with Hamed in this paragraph and you pretty much sum up why Hamed has the edge in this fight.
you mean hamed has proven himself successful against em 2x and barrera 2x. oh yeah, he had one fight agaisnt barrera and you know what happened. the guy may had been successful against borderline A and B level fighters in his carreer and was a total shut down against an A level and you were saying it was him who would win this fight on speed, power, workrate :rofl dude, those departments were pacs MAIN weapons in his arsenal and those weapons were tested not only against borderline A and B level fighters but against ATG locks as well.
Sorry I guess you take things too litteraly. What I meant was to say that someone's speed and power would be the difference against the prince is idiotic. I personally can see how some people think Pac's power is greater then HAmed's. There speed is pretty comprable too. IMO hamed was quicker. He was certanly quicker on his feet. But thats not the stupidest thing here. To say that someone's swarming style woud be too much for the prince basically proves that the guy writing this knows nothing about boxing or at the most generous knows nothing about Hamed (which if he's under the age of 17 might be the case). The worst and I mean the worst way to fight Hamed would be to swarm him. Not sure how you don't see that by swarming Hamed your constantly putting yourself in position to walk into on of his off angle shots. The best way to fight the prince is to use controled boxing. If anything Pac's swarming style puts him at a huge disadvantage against the prince (relative to his contemporary rivals like MAB and Marquez).
im 15. its swarming because pac has proven to be a monster at lower weight classes and swarming is what he does best combined with his speedy distance punching and workrate. and this has been proven against future ATGs. hamed is dangerous, actually too dangerous, against people who just stands there. but hamed has never been against guys who puts on too much pressure and with a very solid chin. a proven pressure puncher with granite chin and quick feet against somebody whos kryptonite was speedy footworks? c'mon.
BArrera showed the way to beat Hamed ...Counter punching and patience. Not to get involved in any Macho BS with Naz. Naz is one of the most devestating one punch counter punchers we have ever seen in the lower weight class. Prime for Prime..... would be very hard to pick. Logic over the past few years would suggest Manny would win on points (i cant see him Koing Hamed, I think Naz had an excellent chi, he had to take "Flush shots taht he did". But dont be suprised if Manny's ego gets the better of him and he tries to brawl and gets caught by a straight left that puts him to sleep. I would have picked Hamed to beat Morales for the same reason hes aggressive. I also would have picked hamed to beat Marquez at his prime....didn't marquez lose to an average southpaw/short one in Freddy Norwood.???
Hamed's best preformances were against swarmers. Or at least guys who tried to swarm him. Granted none of them had a granite chin like Pac. But that doesn't mean that because Pac has a great chin he would do well swarming Hamed. Granite chin or not he'd get hit with some bombs. I'm not sure what you mean by "somebody whose kryptonite was speedy footwork". Since when was the prince's Kryptonite speedy footwork? The prince's kryptonite is people who don't open themselves up to being hit. Pac can beat Hamed but for someone of his talent level Pac's style is more of a liability agains the Prince then it would be an advantage. It would make for a great F'ing fight though.
