Hatton quite convincingly, as has been stated time and time again Hatton would walk down Khan and score a mid round ko, ask again in 3 or 4 years time though and i am convinced it will be a different answer, Amir is improving at a rapid rate right now.

Hatton would walk down onto Khans fists and get KTFO. Khans style is terrible for Hatton.

Was thinking that today. I, for one, see no way Khan doesn't thrash Hatton. For one, he'd have Roach in his corner, and Roach could easily work out a gameplan for Khan to follow, one he would follow imagining he is where he is now and has proved his point against Maidana. He would, however, had to have lost against Prescott for any of this to happen, obviously. But yeah, I think he'd put Hatton on the backfoot with his speed, he does not deal with it well, especially if Khan learns to switch it up. In this fight, the lunging isn't an issue either because Hatton does the exact same thing and he's worse off for it because he's not a counter puncher, Khan can be. The only way he does is what everyone else says, he pressures Khan and cuts him off, but I do not see him doing that until later in the fight, where he usually tends to gas anyway but Khan will have done enough to get the win, especially knowing Hatton gets very careless and frustrated, and it could end the exact same way it ended with Mayweather.

Except PBFs defence is 1000 times better than Khans, PBF fights extremely well on the inside and Khan does not. PBF is much slicker and disguises his punches better and IMO hits harder.
PBF also fights far better on the backfoot, whilst Khan has show marked improvment but will still back up in straight lines and get cornered.

When Khan lies on the ropes he does not slip shots like PBF, he ships shots. When in the pocket he is open and simply tries to tie up, PBF bullies and rolls with shots and fights effectively.

The two are totally different aside from both being stupidly fast. Roachs gameplan did not stop Khan getting tagged by a limited slugger with wide looping shots, much like the wide looping shots that Prescott threw.

Khan did brilliantly in parts and showed a warriors heart to come through the 10th, but in reality it showed that the gameplan did not get followed properly and that he was still put in serious trouble by someone who telegraphs his shots a mile off and has nothing like the speed of foot or hand that prime Hatton had.

Very good points, I always enjoy Strike's posts, even when they contradict mine. I still favour Khan though. I feel if he threw first and got Hatton on the backfoot he'd be able to control the fight, but Hatton really is brilliant at making people fight his fight, wear them down, getting them on the backfoot and just punishing them with the inside game. That said, I think Khan's just too fast and would be a lot more switched on if it could happen, I also don't believe Khan is near his prime yet, no matter what he says, so he's not the total package yet. He definitely has holes in his game, ones Hatton could exploit, but I think Khan would have enough to take Hatton out of his comfort zone and get the victory.

    At this stage, Hatton.

He was a world class pressure fighter, everything khan hates.

I think I am just about the only person who wasn't impressed by the Maidana win. Yes he showed heart and that he could tough it out when inthe trenches but it highlighted a lot of weaknesses. Namely Lack of discipline and defensive inefficiencies, he just didn't fight smart. If he fights like that again I fancy him to lose or get knocked out, yes he took big punches but he isn't suddenly Chuvalo, he could've been stopped and was on wobbly legs when he went back to his corner. I fear he could now get cocky thinking if he can take Maidana's shots he can take anyone's and fight stupid...

    Hatton, clearly.

What people have to remember is that Ricky had very quick feet and was able to close the distance easily. He would get round Khans jab as well, which has been shown up to be nothing spectacular.

Khan doesn't hit very hard. Hatton would break him down and stop him late.

A different class of fighter, clearly, when you look at what attributes they possess. If Khan boxed and moved Hatton would still outwork him, once Ricky got inside it would be game over, so much more of an effective pressure fighter than Maidana.

Prime Hatton walks through Khan's punches and finishes him to the body. I don't see Khan being able to keep him off for any length of time.
