Mayweather was brilliant in that fight....he used everything in his arsenal to beat and KO hatton.....I will say this, if cortez didnt break the clinches as fast as he did, Hatton loses but finishes the fight.....

Who would have thought hatton would be more competitive against floyd then gatti, or the sure hall of famer marquez......not to mention as of late hatton's stock has gone up, urango is having a promising carear....and malignaggi atleast appeared to be the winner against juan diaz, who troubled marquez.....

I would say without cortez....mayweather UD....floyd said after that fight hatton was the toughest opponent he ever faced...

Mayweather would rip him another ******* at 140 and TKO him round 5 or 6 at most, this would be WORSE than the Gatti fight.

There's a reason Ricky's father came out in public when Mayweather challenged them at 140 and said his son needs two fights, meaning NO THANKS. It's only Ricky's fault it happened at 147 NOT Mayweather's. Mayweather gave them the finger and went on to challenge the undisputed champion at 147 while Hatton went life and death in a bloodfest against none other than Carlos Maussa at 140.

To the 7 drunken idiots that voted for Hatton. You guys know that Hatton needed a referee to allow him throw elbows, headbutts, low blows, hold, punches to the back of the head in combinations and almost everything illegal in boxing to go LIFE AND DEATH against a Tszyu coming off 1 year of inactivity with career threatening injuries in England and MANY had the fight EVEN after the 11th?

that's a possibilty...I do believe hatton is technically better then gatti by quite a bit.....I think at 140 prime hatton would have stopped gatti as well....hell, even the version that fought mayweather stops gatti...i voted mayweather UD, because without cortez hatton finishes the fight...

If Hatton is allowed to hold like he did to Tszyu, then Hatton via KO10

At 140 and with a different ref it would have been closer, but Mayweather still would have won clearly.

It does take more than that, but he's not too far off. The harder you train, the luckier you get.
