Because, Hatton languished on the inside and Broner is quite good and explosive there. Hatton's foot speed would have made it interesting in spots. I do admit that.

I concede that we don't know how exactly Broner will look at 140. But if he carries his power and most of his speed up with him relatively, I see little ways Ricky could overcome Broner.

Broner should just retire. He has already proven that he can beat anyone in the history of boxing.

Are you serious? You show me a fight were Ricky Hatton goes life and death with a mostly stationary counter-puncher in Magee? I hope you don't think that makes a good case for you. Hatton gets dropped by a right hook being careless, as usual, with his aggression. :patsch

as opposed to what, Broner going life and death with a BANTAMWEIGHT and getting a gift.

PATSCH yourself mate, face it, Hatton had a harder education than Broner, yes, I am serious

When was Magee ever stopped? oh yeah, never, Daniel Ponce De Leon was stopped in a round by JuanMa

Junior Witter was terrified of Magee, yet people said Hatton was afraid of Witter! lol

What the ****, Broner would absolutely not beat Hatton. As hittable as people try to make Hatton out to be, he had a deceptively good way of slipping a punch and using his footspeed to end up on the inside. Defense on the inside is something Ricky maintained well by staying close and positioning himself to his advantage. Broner has serious power but he doesn't move well and he doesn't keep fights on the outside for long periods. Ricky would get inside, Ricky would make it his fight, Ricky would outwork him.
