No way am I picking anyone from before Joe Louis...those guys all did catch as catch can wrestling, and were just hard *******s.

My pick is Michael Spinks as far as worst in a street fight...as far as great fighters...Ali may be in the bottom half of champs in street fightd (though I have heard it said he was very strong in a clinch...that could help in a street fight.)

I don't think either of the Spinks bros would do too well in a street fight against other prime heavyweight champs.

This may be a controversial pick, but Lennox Lewis just does not seem like the type that would do too well against other more street-like heavyweight champs. I'd still pick him to destroy Michael and Leon in the streets though, especially Michael.

Disagree totally. Lewis had a mean streak when pushed. His favourite line to people wanting to fight him in pubs/clubs was "do you realise i could actually kill you with one punch" or something very similar.

Hell, Lewis could pick you apart from 8 feet away and take your head off with either hand. He'd be frightening.

I'd say Patterson, Wlad or Michael Moorer. Patterson didn't have that mean streak or style you look for in a scenario like this...Wlad isn't game enough nor does he have the "edge" you'd look for...Michael Moorer is too mentally fragile despite the booming left.

I think they all do fairly damn well in street fights. I mean, can you imagine calling out any one of those guys when they have their game-face on? Go for the little one, Floyd. Well, he was street ruffian from the get. He'd kick your ass, then steal your wallet. OK, go for the stiff white robots... Vitali? The 6-8 monster built like a brick shithouse who has done martial arts since he was walking? Really? OK, fat Tony Tubbs. The guy doesn't give a **** and is so fast you'll be hit and out before you make your move. Braddock? Another guy who was raised on the streets and fought to eat. Don't **** with guys who fight order to get their meals. They are by definition closer to animals than you are. And don't get me started on other supposed easy marks like Tommy Burns or Ingo or Bruce Seldon... All those guys can punch... I mean really, really punch. Unlike you have ever been hit before.

Tyson would get pushed around and bullied. If you grab him and have any sort of strength he is helpless.

A guy like Lewis, Valuev, Wlad is what you need.

You couldnt be more wrong i think a prime Leon Spinks style would be good for a street fight. He was aggressive quick and threw like a wild man, id pick him over quite a few champs in a street fight.

James toney was kind of heavyweight champ..if you ignore the fact that it was a DQ.....not sure how great he would be in street fight..and i am not even talking about the mma stuff..i mean just his style....not saying that none of the champs would be easy to beat up..i am just saying that some would be less then others.

Well, I think we can pretty much suppose you'll need weapons to beat any of them. If we're talking multi-fighter bar brawl, I think the bigger, slower champions are easier to beat. Wladimir Klitschko with his human beard, Lennox because he's hard to miss throwing a bottle, etc

If you gave me two knifes I'd probably still lose to a fast man like Patterson.

Both Leon & Michael grew up in the toughest part of St. Louis.
