I would have to favor Camacho in this one. Let's put Camacho's sillyness and clown-acting behaviour to the side, the man had crazy speed and power and had very good boxing ability. He's fought everyone. I wouldn't write off Pac but personally I believe Camacho would win 8 times out of 10.

Let's remember that we haven't seen "the Pacquiao of today" fight any fighters with atleast some decent boxing skills (besides Marquez, and we all know it could have gone either way). But anyway, what's your thoughts?

Camacho is one of the most over rated fighters i have ever seen. The guy got smashed by every elite fighter he ever faced. The ass whoopings he got from chavez and de la hoya ... AND trinidad were embarrasing

And the way he celebrated after beating a shot Ray Leonard.... as if he was the man... what a muppet... he is a more annoying version of mayorga

Pacquiao would destroy him. It would be a decision though because 'Macho' would run away for most of the fight

it's stupidity comparing camacho with pac, how can you gauge exactly their ability if they can't actually fight? we have to utilize again the record books? like the mayweather and pac fight, they are only fighting in fan's fantasy.

    Pac by TKO or UD.

Camacho was fast as hell but he didnt have the same skills Pac does. He is basically overmatched in everything but speed. He would be reduced to landing a lucky punch which to be fair he would have a chance being Pac would actually be slower than him.

SMASHED by every elite fighter? You clearly hate the guy or you follow the sport of "Pacquiao" instead of "Boxing". Camacho might have lost to elites like Chavez, Tito, and De La Hoya, but he lasted twelve rounds with them. I doubt Pac would have lasted that long let alone won against those three in their primes, and I'm a Pac fan.

    At 140? Pacquiao.

    At 147? Pacquiao.

    At 135? Pacquiao.

    At 130? Pacquiao.

I actually do rate Macho as a fighter and his speed is something else to behold but I can't see any version of him being Pacquaio, the best chance he has is probably at 130. Roach also fough Camacho so he had first hand experience of Hector himself

Manny is not coming close to stopping him though. Not if Trinidad and Oscar can't.

    130 Macho

    135 Macho

    140 Pac

    147 Pac

After Edwin Rosario hurt Camacho he became the most defensive fighter ever.
when Macho moved up in weight he was less effective.

I just don't see it man. I mean yeah the guy was a lightening quick, exciting fighter who possessed some decent power at the lower weights but even the pre-Rosario Camacho isn't going to beat Manny. I normally find myself siding against Manny when he lined up against fighters like prime-Duran, prime-Leonard, prime-Trinidad etc but I really don't think he would be too troubled by Camacho.

I agree with you though as Camacho moves up the fights get easier for Manny.

  13. The Camacho you are referring to was far past his best. Al those fights happened in the 90's and Camacho was prime from about '85 to '88.

I would still pick Pacquiao in this fight but a prime Camacho makes it a huge pain in the ass with his hand and foot speed.

it seems people are overrating camacho a little bit here. he was good but not great. pac wins this fight by UD or late stoppage.
