Armstrong was actually a lightweight beating welters to win and defend the Welterweight title.

Would that "lightweight version" of Armstrong been too much for Duran???

It would be an all action war. But I'm tilting towards Armstrong.

Duran, a smaller man pressuring a puncher with the skills and speed of Duran won't end too well for them

Duran UD. Hank wins rounds due to the fact that he'd always be working whereas even Roberto would take some time off every once in a while, but when they go at it, Duran would do the better work. More fluid, better defensively, quicker I'd say.

    Amazing fight though, of course.

    Simply blistering fight.

    Duran by UD.

Just to slick defensivley and a master counter puncher. It would be an action packed fighted with early rounds going to armstrong.
But Duran is nailing him with big shots and combos of his own,
This would be like Gatti - Ward but at the A + level. Duran would be wearing on him and making him miss.

Armstrong actually is slowed down by late mid rounds (7-12) It is there that Duran takes him apart. I see Duran out matching Armstrong in those rounds and perhpas even getting a knockdown. Armstrong is throwing but missing, and that tires you out more than landing. Duran is one of THE greatest fighters if not the best at coming forward attacking AND making you miss.

Its toe to toe and what a show, Duran is cat like, hard to hit. Armstong is the windmill of offense, but wait.... Duran is inside and landing viscious shots.

But even Duran has limits and cant take Armstrong out as he himself is eventually exhausted. Armstrong even rallies to take the last 2 rounds as Duran having bested him mid rounds slows just a tad long enough for Armstrong to come back.

Duran still able to land great right hands and slick counters but not enough to win the final rounds.
This is a 15 round fight, and reminds me much of the 1st Leonard/ Duran fight with Armstong not as fast as leonard but throwing and always attacking.

Just to many chances for the very slick, and powerful Duran. Duran would feed on this, and this is exactly the fight he likes to get into. Armstrong falls right into Durans wheelhouse " so to speak"

Armstrong Rds 1-4 ...What a fight this will be
Rounds 5-7 war/ hard to score
8-12- Duran gets to him, and Armstrong is getting the worst of it ( possible Knockdown)
13-15 Armstong can win these, as Duran slows as well. But Duran has his moments.
    Duran UD.

Styles make fights.... this is Durans Favorite way to do it. Considering how close they are in ATG status. It is this that swings my choice to Duran.

Could go either way, one of the best ever fantasy fights, it would be a close decision type fight with neither man proving any real superiority IMO.

Based on your scorecard it seems like Armstrong would've won about 8 rounds.
