The Armstrong that fought Arizmendi, Ross, Garcia, and Ambers vs. the Robinson of the 40s and 50s. Who wins. I see them splitting a couple fights, just like when Robinson fought Basilio. Armstrong was very tough and smart, and would probably muscle Sugar Ray around the first time. But in the second one, Ray would find some way to win, although not by knockout. Overall, I would say Armstrong could beat Ray worse than Ray could Armstrong.

I can't see Armstrong winning at all.

I agree that in the end Robinson was superior, but if LaMotta, Turpin, Fullmer, and Basilio could all beat Ray once, Armstrong could do it once too.

Arguably, nobody other than Greb can argue to have done what Armstrong did in the timespan that he did.

But Robbi wasn't a small welterweight. He isn't get muscled by Armstrong here. Lose the fight on the inside, very very briefly, perhaps, but I cannot see anything other than Robbi dominating the fight from the outside and pulling away to win a dominant fight down the stretch if he doesn't KO/TKO Hank.

The more likely scenario is that if they're at their best, Robbi's height, reach and size advantages, as well as the angles of his hookercuts gives Hank some serious troubles.

Wouldn't be surprised if a gracious ref stops Hank from his own brave self in a series of fights.

Armstrong likely too small against Robinson. Ray via decision.

    Armstrong too one dimensional IMO
    Robinson wide UD or stoppage

Okay the magic of Data Boxing...Robinson winS both a 10 and 12 unanimous decision but a 15 rounder is a draw. The rough and aggressive style of Armstrong is too much for Robinson and wears him down and is knocked down in the 15th. He gets up and Armstrong does not have enough to put him out.

Could see Henry giving Ray hell, but Ray has more than enough to win a close unanimous verdict.

Wasn’t really their skill that troubled Robinson so much to begin with, though.
