Because Bowe didnt face a puncher like Lewis doesnt mean he would fail against Lewis. Lewis was knocked out twice against guys who were far more limited than Bowe so really it points in the other direction. Bowe could fight, he was bigger and better than the two guys who knocked Lewis out. I dont know how you can claim Rahman wasnt a key fight? It was in South Africa for the title against an opponent who was far more capable than Briggs or Grant. Dont go making excuses for Lewis if you cant accept the fact that Bowe was not even close to his best when he faced Golota yet he still managed to win and not to get laid out after taking tremendous punishment.
I'm going to say Holmes was too fast, too well conditioned, had the footwork to throw him off, and would box him to a decision. Bowe was big and long enough, had enough consistency, strength, and power that he could win, and could give Larry troubles, but Larry was tough and versatile and had a chin and heart too. I see Larry finding a way to win close even if he took some big ones. Would be a fun fight to watch either way.
