    Agreed,

How in the hell anyone thinks that Tyson couldn't beat Tony Galento is well beyond the realm of my understanding to say the least.

Breathtaking post, indeed, from the knowledgeable Duo, who unfortunately missed Tyson's reign of terror.

i agree, this version of holmes was done.it completly sucks that alot of fights are fought by champions fighting older washed up versions of champions aka my time machine theory.also i hear everyone talking about tyson and how he beat spinks.spinks was on a 31 fight win streak, tyson dealt spinks his only loss of his pro career.that was spinks last fight.so is it safe to say this a bad comparison.honestly i think tyson and larry had somewhat weak competetion during their champion reigns, that doesnt mean that they were any less good though.

But watch Weaver vs Holmes, then Tucker vs Tyson. Only one of these guys is desperately trying to win.

The Norton of 1978 certainly put up a better showing than the Tucker of 1987. Thomas had a go, I'll give him that.

Holyfield was stunned several times, in fact he was stunned by the very first right hand Tyson landed. Calling Holyfield a warrior with porous defence is selling him short bigtime. He had a very good defence in fact. You don't beat Mike Tyson twice while having porous defence. You don't go the distance with Lewis twice while having a porous defence. Holyfield brawled a bit more often than he had to, but his defence was excellent. Watch him against an old Foreman (whom you think would beat Tyson) and you'll see how easily he evades 90% of the punches and comes back with hard counter punches.

    True,

I can't refute the fact that Weaver gave by far and above his best efforts against Holmes, while Tucker was merely just hanging in there against Tyson. Still, wouldn't you agree that Tyson arguably had a better list of top opponents than Holmes? At least for the most part?

Considering Needles's heroin habit, I'd be afraid that he might have AIDS too.

Yeah, Tyson has the edge there I can agree.

As if Mikey's lapdogs haven't already done the same on his behalf.

Hello? You, my friend, need to carefully scrutinize the other 1250 plus posts I've produced this year. (Some of them typed out when I was on considerably more than two whiskey sours!:nut)

Face it Duo, you'll never come close to CMC's posts. His best five:

    1. :good
    2. "Good Post"
    3.
    4. :D
    5. "I agree"

As filthy and iron chinned as Two-Ton was against Nova, I have no problem envisioning it, especially if Tony takes him into the championship rounds.

Well, MDWC (too bloody many acronyms here at ESB), since to put it that way, I consider it a real honor that CMC has elevated my post below any of his own. (How's that for screwy syntax?:huh)
