Well we know Calzaghe is 1,2, and 3. Don't know who 4 is but 5 is also Calzaghe.

I think that Holyfield would've decisioned Haye, he's got a better chin that I think Haye has. It's a little too early to rate how Haye would perform against Holyfield, because he fought nobody Tomasz Benin and OK journeyman Monte Barrett. Both fighters lack an excellent defense, though I feel that Holyfield's is better than Haye's and while he lacks the power of Haye, he could probably tire him out. Think about it, in his prime, Bowe didn't close the show in the first fight, Foreman couldn't put him away, and I think he could have gotten up against Cooper had he properly knocked him down, i don't care what anybody says.

He's far from being a great fighter.

As we have not seen any counter basis for Holyfield winning, it's safe to say, in the eyes of many, 1 Hayemaker ends Holyfields challenge.

I will say Holyfield has better skills, but that aside, Haye has better everything, and at least a chin on the same level ( his only TKO was due to inexperience and punching himself out)

Holyfield would destroy this guy. It'd be interesting for a few rounds. but then Holyfields relentless pressure would do Haye in. No contest, not even close, two different class of fighters! No disrespect for Haye, but we're talking Evander Holyfield!

Holyfield would wipe the floor with Haye. Haye has too many holes in his game.

Any chance we can have a post that would befit a serious debate?

Prime Holyfield-Haye is a no brainer indeed. Haye may have ruled at Cruiser, but compared to what Evander was when he was campaigning at Cruiser, Haye is a schoolboy!

Holyfield was a beast of a fighter at Cruiser!

sorry pal but this has ben an embarrassing exercise in nationalistic blindness.

all you've done is pot and be dismissive rather than try to be objkective, but then again it looks like you didnt have enough faith in your point of view to begin with.

It always amazes me how brits are so eager to declare one of their own a great that they will jump on any bandwagon and its been like that at least since Bombardier Billy Wills a hundred years ago!!! Haye! Its David Haye! Why are we even talking of him in context with Holyfield who has actually fought and proven himself. Haye was knocked out by Carl Thompson, ancient, 79 year old, toothless Carl Thompson. This guy wouldnt beat Holfyield, he wont even get past vitali. Hes going to be the Herbie Hyde or Johnny Nelson of the 2000s. Hes going to get his ass handed to him by the first good heavyweight he meets (which might be a while since those are few and far between) likely Vitali and then try it again against a bunch of bums and the brits will jump back on the bandwagon and he will get knocked out again and then he will drop back down to cruiser and hang around there for a while before finally getting knocked out again and fading into obscurity. Sound familiar? It should it happens to about 90% of the fighters the brits peg for greatness.

haye has great reflexes and very good punching power, but he had an awful defense and a glass jaw even at cruiser to go along with it. holyfield had even better reflexes than haye, very good punching power, head to head movement even at heavyweight which you rarely see, a granite chin, and very good defense not to mention very good speed to easily match hayes. i don't think haye would of beaten qawi much less holyfield. and tyson having a glass jaw? are you kidding me? an old tyson taking one of lewis's right hands is nothing to be ashamed about since lennox did possess one of boxing's best right hands and tyson was taking a beating by douglas before he went down. and please don't compare holyfield to enzo your making yourself look bad and care to watch holyfield in his prime please and learn something
