Good point.. ignore the "prime" aspect of it... they both fought there at some point, interested to se ehow you think it'd go..
Holyfield is a career cruis/heavy how can you make this matchup, should it be the hopkins of his pro debut or the one that fought tarver vs a holyfield in his pro debut or something? even then he has weighed in under the limit, but oki hopkins from the tarver fight vs the pro debut version of holy= hopkins win.
How about we assume they're the same size? Holyfield's workrate and mentality would be too much for Hopkins who struggles with fast and busy fighters.
Holy did start his career at LHW but only had a handful of fights there. A better thread title would be young Holy vs old Hopkins at about 180lbs
Holyfield would tear Hopkins head off. Once upon a time middleweights n lightheavys fought heavies often. If you put light heavy bernard in with cruiser holy he gets taken apart quick.
If they are both "Prime" we have a 210 lb Holyfield vs. a 160 lb Hopkins. Doesn't look good for Hopkins.
Holyfield was nowhere near prime at 175. That being said... Holyfield still splatters Hopkins at 175.
