How am I selectively using Foreman? I would agree with him about both of these fights, though. Unlike you, using his testimony for the first fight but ignoring his thoughts on the rematch.
A prime Lewis is the best head to head fighter in heavyweight history. Whoever you put him up against he beats. The only fight which is hard to call would be Ali, which is a 50/50.
That's not the point. You lied about not seeing an argument with someone scoring the second fight to Holyfield and giving a round to round description.
Those who favour Holyfield will look at the rematch and ignore the first fight where he was dominated like nobody had ever done before and those that favour Lewis will focus on the first fight and ignore the success Holyfield had in the rematch. The truth will lie somewhere between the 2 fights they had. Holyfield wasn't prime when they fought so to expect Lewis to dominate again like in the first fight is unrealistic. While in the 2nd fight Lewis tried too hard to be aggressive after the draw and criticism of the first fight. In the 2nd fight in the rounds where Lewis upped the number of jabs he once again had Holyfield struggling badly. Prime for prime with both at their best I believe Lewis wins a fair decision, something like 8 rounds to 4 or 7 rounds to 5. Holyfield didn't have the big right hand that both times spelled disaster for Lewis and he has always struggled with bigger heavies.
atschatsch I never said Holyfield won both fights. You keep putting words in my mouth. You're saying I said things that I actually never said.
Yes, he's Very hypocritical and biased. Funny how every time someone mentions the second fight, he either A, changes the subject back to the first fight, or B, combines all the rounds from both fights and uses it in his attempt to justify The robbery in the second fight. :bart
This is so indescribably hypocritical I can hardly believe it. You get to post other people's opinions on the fight when it supports your agenda. But when I post other posts showing other people's opinions, it's "bull****" and it doesn't matter at all.
I didn't lie at all. At best l may have forgot. I have a hard time remembering what happened 8 days ago, never mind 8 YEARS ago. How many people on this forum remember verbatim any thread, never mind one 8 years ago.
I see you've ignored all my other posts in favor of the one, you could refute. So you "forgot"? That's a big jump. Not sure I believe that. But if you did actually forget. Next time you want to accuse me of lying, it's best to have all your bases covered.
Caught. Once again. http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=355141 Surely you remember this? It's your own thread. Don't give me that bull**** you forgot because you clearly remembered the fact that you debated with 8-9 posters about it. And you said, none of them have given you any justification for Holyfield winning. In case, you decide to lie and back track like you've been doing this entire thread, here is the post. "and I've debated probably 8-9 posters over the years, and none of them have ever put forth a round by round justification as to Holyfield winning the second fight, but you want to try, then be my guest." I look forward to see Vanboxingfan's attempt to back himself out of the corner he got himself into.
Holyfield all day ..I mean Prime LL was out boxed by Ray Mercer ,dropped by Haseem Rahamn and blown out by Oliver McCall LL only holds 1 win over a a solid HW in their prime and that's Vitali..
You know you really are dense. Both these threads support the fact that Lewis won the second fight. How big of a hole do you want to dig for yourself. I mean the first thread you cited, showed 70 % of those polled thought Lewis won the 2nd fight. Do you really think that hurts my position or are you secretly agreeing with me? Here's a typical comment. THE NITE OF THE FIGHT I WATCHED THE BOB SHERIDAN VERSION AND I THOUGHT HOLY WON/ THEN I WATCHED HBO VERSION AND I THOUGHT LEWIS WON....THEN I WATCHED IT WITHOUT SOUND AND I HATE TOO ADMIT IT LENNOX LEWIS WON 116 TO 113. You should be so honest as this guy is.
So here are the results of the thread you yourself hunted down. Yes - Holyfield won a close decision 46 29.11% No - the judges got it right 112 70.89% Voters: 158. You have already voted on this poll I might as well just let you keep on arguing my point for me, so far you're doing a great job.
