Interesting. How about Holyfield from the second Bowe fight? He weighed 217 Lbs. and had the perfect fight plan for fighting a modern "super" heavyweight that night thanks to the late great Manny Steward. How about V. Klitschko from the Lewis fight?

Holyfield is 6'2 1/2" with a 77 1/2" reach. Klitschko is 6'7" with a 79" reach. In comparison Bowe is 6'5" with an 81" reach.

I doubt either man would go down or be stopped. Holyfield is quicker, has the better combinations, has better footwork, and better defense. Both men are very durable (Klitschko was never down but he was stopped twice) and well conditioned. Klitschko is clearly the bigger man (height, reach, and weight). Both men are strong but I will give Klitschko the edge in strength and punching power.

I think Holyfield wins a close decision. I think both men will get rocked, Holyfield will get rocked more so and almost go down. In the end it is a fair decision. Holyfield will look pretty beat up, Vitali will have some marks on his face as well.

Holyfield UD. Holy is too versatile for Vitali.

I think Vitali is big enough, strong enough, and awkward enough to offset Holyfield, who won't be stopping Vitali. Vitali lands less frequently but much harder on his way to a split decision.

    Vitali. Going away.

Lopsided decision. Evander just gets hit way too much to pick him in this. The other guy throws 60 punches a round & Evander has to work a ton just to get himself into punching range. And Evander will not throw off balance punches from the outside---he'll wait. and wait. All he has is the left hook and I never thought too much of his right hand and he needs a 2 handed assault against this guy---the other guy sure knows what a 2 handed assault is.

Toss up for me....I lean towards a Holyfield decision but wouldn’t be over confident nor surprised by an alternate outcome

I am new to really becoming a student of boxing as opposed to a casual observer. is it possible that anyone have a few recommendations of a few top fights from holyfield and klitschko that made their name?

Prime Holyfield easily.Bowe is a bad comparsion he was faster and tougher than the skin problematic Vitali.
The very old Holyfield looked decent against Valuev who was significantly taller(7'),heavier(310.75 lbs) and tougher than V. klitschko.

Vitali was as tough as they come and far superior to Valuev. Holy was just a little too small for big super heavys with skills and toughness to boot in VK.
