A 222lbs Tyson isn't comparable to the far bigger 245lbs plus Wlad in terms of strength. And once again your choice of comparison of Brewster to support your opinion is deeply flawed. Wlad hadn't learned to clinch effectively back then and was an aggressive fighter still who would have traded with Holyfield not the boring spoiler he became later on.

If Wlad traded with Holyfield on the inside he would of course lose, Holyfield is far superior in this regard but Wlad isn't going to fight that kind of fight.

If Wlad was a bigger puncher I'd at least give him a punchers chance but he isn't so he would need to put a sustained beating on Wlad to stop him and Wlad with his spoiling tactics will never allow that.

Holyfield looked exactly what he was vs Cooper: a blown up cruiser, and was struggling badly verses the fringe man, a guy with seven losses and some recent stoppages. Later in the 90's Cooper was blown out by Derrick Jeffereson in 2 rounds who Wlad stopped in two rounds in his first ever title defense. Cooper vs prime Holyfileld was a life and death fight. Cooper was still active up to just three years ago,a classic journeyman.

A 219lbs Tyson bullied Smith to the ropes and kept him there for 12 rounds. Smith had enormous physical strength. Whose to say Wlad is any stronger than him.

Both Sanders and Peter threw Wlad off them like a wet blanket. He has huge power but going up on his tippy toes to get his whole body over guys backs in order to control them suggests he is not as strong as his power.

You can't use clinching to neutralize the opponents offence. Wlads boxes and looses or he clinches and gets DQ'd.

His behaviour is just not accepted outside of his own K2 promoted shows.

Bruno was very nearly DQ'd against Tyson for excessive clinching by Mills Lane. Once he stopped he lost. The same would happen to Wlad.

Imagine Mills Lane officiating a Wlad fight. This is a guy who physically threw Hopkins out of the ring for using spoiling tactics. Wlad wouldn't have a career with Lane around.

Holyfield was fast and accurate. That is power . He stopped Tyson and floored iron chinned Bowe. He has more than enough power to flatten Wlad.

Holyfield won that life and death situation by 7th round stoppage.

Wlad couldn't pull it out when the going got tuff against Purrity:rofl:oops:

He ran out of gas and was a raw 22 year old ( not a seasoned 29 y/o champion vs a cherry pick). Puritty was better than Cooper anyway, had only one stoppage loss and had went the distance with Donald, Byrd, Rahman, Nielsen, Sanders, Grant and had a draw vs Morrison. Sanders got Cooper out of there in 3 rounds in 1993 before you bring him up again. No life and death there.

Not sure why you are bringing Tyson into this. You yourself said he couldn't break the clinching tactics of a smaller Holyfield, why would you think using a weaker fighter as an example somehow makes Holyfield more effective against Wlad. You're trying to prove Holyfield could out muscle Wlad in the clinch not Tyson.

Holyfield couldn't cope with Lewis clinching when they fought why would he do any better against Wlad, who clinched even more than Lewis? Holyfield couldn't even deal with Ruiz' clinching how does he cope with an even bigger and stronger Wlad?

You can use clinching to take away a fighter offense, Holyfield used it himself against Tyson.

    I never said that.

I explained this thoroughly already , why do i have to do it again?

I said man handled. That isn't the same as clinching. Since when was Tyson weak. This is why I brought up Smith.

Holyfield couldn't get inside. There was hardly any clinching in those two fights.
Lewis used his inside skills to deal with Holyfield when he got inside. And a shot and well past it Holy still broke though on many occasions and did some work.

    No , you can not.

He mixed it up with punching. He worked on the inside. If he hadn't an iron chin , he would have been knocked out cold.

Wlad wasn't allowed use clinching to control Jennings and look how ordinary he looked because of it.

What makes you believe he can hug Holyfield to a victory. Why don't you put the two of them in a fair and equal fight and go from there because thats how this works.

Wlad would use his wingspan and power to tattoo Holyfield on the outside. Evander needs to get in close because he can't win a chessmatch against Klitschko on the outside. As others have pointed out, Evander struggled with Ruiz' huggy bear treatment. I think it's delusional to think that Dr Squidco won't wrap him up like a string salami.

Klitschko has huge power; I could concievably see him win via late stoppage, although I lean towards a UD.

Not to say that Holyfield is out of it - he's got a chance against virtually any HW that lived. But this is a tough ask.

It's amazing how Wlads fouling has gradually become accepted as a legitimate part of his fighting style instead of something that would get him disqualified by any competent, neutral referee.

Well, We've seen this scenario play out before, haven't we? Did you miss the Sanders and Brewster fights?

Except that Wlad made Peter do the stanky leg when he almost knocked him out. Peter was brutally beaten that night.

Wlad can take Holys body blows and Holy doesn't have enough fire power to get Wlad out of there.

Can Holy take Wlad's repeated right hands and left hooks?

    I don't think so.

Even though Lewis got the decision, he certainly looked like the loser that night. The Holyfield from the Lewis rematch KO's any version of Wlad.
