When was Valeuv ever knocked down?? I recall a 45 year old Holyfield beating him and getting robbed.

I do. The guy is some 5'11 journeymen. Wlad took shots that were much, much bigger.

That is a big "if" considering Wlad has great defense so he barely gets hit clean.

    What are you talking about?

What's Valuev got to do with this?

Yeah he did and he didn't need to employ despicable fouling tactics to win either.

He just stood there , being grossly out of shape and out pointed him. As easy as that.

Yet Wlad was up and down like a yo-yo and did more hugging than boxing.

I would like to see current Povetkin vs 90's Holyfield. Bear in mind Alex Stewart, Vaughan Bean and Mercer all lasted 12 rounds. This is aside from Lane saving him from Cooper with a standing count.

No, I didn't see arguably Wlad's biggest fight in his career.

I still hear Lampley saying, "Oh, the left hook wobbles Peter".

    Wlad outboxed him every round.

Wlad is a bigger, better conditioned, more skilled (offensively and defensively) than Bowe or LL (who both beat Holy), but Wlad is going to lose?

I'm not buying that at all.

Chambers a better boxer than Peter? Highly debatable.

On Vaughan Bean 45(34)-6-1. Only man to stop him, peak Vitali in 02. peak Holyfield, Moorer, Tony Thompson all needed decisions.

You haven't destroyed ****e. You said Wlad would be throwing hooks and crosses, I proved you wrong. Wladimir doesn't have the guts to DARE open himself up with power punches against anyone other than complete club-fighters or guys that are pretty much done after 10 rounds of clinching and jabbing.

Steward literally BEGGED him to finish off Chambers, yet you think he's going to turn into some offensive machine against Holyfield ????

    ----------------------------

His "struggle" with tall fighters is limited to one performance where he gassed out due to hepatitis, and 2 performances in which he was facing arguably the greatest heavy of all time while he himself was pracitcally done.

    ----------------------------

David Haye on the level of Holyfield? :rofl

Maybe the 50 year old version that put up a similar performance against Valuev.

Povetkin is certainly not Holyfield level, more like Mercer/Ruddock level, but you can also argue that he would have rocked Wlad senseless if not for the incessant clinching and pushing...

    Wlad is taller than both.

Wlad doesn't balloon up in fights (Bowe the obvious example and LL has done that as well).

Wlad offensively throws arguably the better jab, definitely the better left hook, and arguably his straight right is better. Wlad doesn't take anywhere near the punishment LL or Bowe did.

Dino - You need to do a little bit better job on your fact checking.
