Just wondering what the consensus is.

Would little change from their 1993 meeting? They were both before their prime, but I think Hopkins was far more removed from his ultimate prime than RJJ.

1993- young Roy decisions young Hopkins

2006 on- older Hopkins easily decisions (or TKO's) Roy
(just look at how the both fared v. Tarver)

now, prime v. prime- could go either way
I give the edge to Hopkins. he'd find a way to win

I think a prime RJJ would always beat Hopkins in any form or shape ... although Hopkins would make it a competitive fight.

RJJ physical attributes just gives him such a big advantage it will be hard to overcome.
That said Hopkins is by far the superior "boxer" and a true student of the sweet science, wich has made his longlivity much better than RJJ's as he was done as soon as his physical advantages declined.

Thats why i consider Hopkins the "greater" fighter because of his longlivity and dedication to the sport he is still a p4p fighter at almost 43 now while RJJ does not even come close.

Same outcome, simply because Hopkins is conservative and Jones would take advantage of that.

I think Hopkins can make it closer, but ultimately Jones would win. Too much speed for anyone to handle.

Roy would have beat him in a similar fashion to the first time.
But Jones was much better than he was in there first meeting, too fast, too strong and still hard to hit.
