He still kind of sucks, but he’s fixed his conditioning. He could repeat the trick against Foreman, especially if over 15.
Foreman bust him up with his telephone pole jab and ends it in spectacular fashion in round 3. A no contest bout vs prime Foreman.
Well ,70s Foreman was somewhat of an under/over betting type of prospect but he did do a lot of undering during his first career. I think he stops in Hergovic before hitting the number of rounds threshold when his chances of winning, while still okay, begin to depreciate.
Hrgovic was never a massive puncher but I would rate him fairly as above average and if he couldn't hit some he wouldn't have gotten the win.
Hrgovic literally has no power he couldn't even drop a gassed out 21 year old Itauma lol. I'd say it aged quite well, when's the last time Hrgovic scored a knockdown against anyone ranked?
Hrgovic is a good fighter but really needed a finishing trainer like a Manny Stewart or Andy Lee or Ray Arcel, - he has the natural talent but need defensive coaching. Jerry Quarry had a good chin and could box a little but also got hit but I always felt Foreman and team avoided Jerry who beat undefeated Big Mac Foster - Earnie Shavers - and undefeated Ron Lyle - Jerry's ability to take a punch discouraged and gassed the young bangers and I always felt Jerry had a good shot to beat the young Foreman. Hrgovic had the chin but still needs a bit more defense but a fighter that can take this big brawler into later rounds is on a positive direction - Foreman shot his load vs Ali, and light punching Jimmy Young dropped him late, so a solid chin is a nullifier of power.
How is this relevant ? Hrgovic lost 8 rounds to a novice and couldn't even drop him. I'm actually more confident than before that Foreman walks Hrgovic down and stops him
