Prime HW James Toney vs Prime Razor Ruddock

    Weird match up to picture.... I see Ruddock using his jab and trying to set up the smash. Toney would get away from it for the most part but at some point I think Ruddock gets home with it and probably puts Toney on the canvas. Toney would get up survive and have his moments probably make it a very close fight but in the end I think Ruddock wins by decision.

    Unconvincing. Toney was 20 pounds lighter and 3 years younger against Holyfield.

    Right but the question then becomes; is Ruddock able to land that power in an effective way on a defensive master such as James Toney?

    As a heavyweight defintely.But James is a warrior, he would get up amd go the distance

    The other question is how much offensive/workrate Toney can mount against an attack he'd have to be very wary of. As someone said earleir, such a hard match to picture.

    He was an upcoming fighter against a journeyman who went on to lose 9 straight after beating Ruddock. Is it a yes or no answer?

    Peter was about 20 pounds overweight and 2-3 years past his peak too.

    i always thought toney got hit quite a lot for a supposed defensive master.
