I've got both over Tyson, he'd have a better chance with Lennox but i'd still have Lewis.

Strange as it may seem i would be immensely happy to take the version of Holyfield that did actually beat him against whatever Tyson. Holyfield's tactics and ability (not to mention confidence and determination) that night would have choked whatever Tyson could ever bring imo.

Lewis' size and Tyson's ineffectiveness in close allow Lewis to nullify a lot of Tyson's offense, emabling him to wear Tyson down and frustrate him. Dynamite power doesn't hurt his cause either.

For me, honestly, Tyson's biggest weakness is his lack of an inside game, contrary to the norm with a fighter of his size and build. He was terrible inside. He should have been butchering people. Guys like Evander and Lewis just tie him up whenever they want and face no penalty for it.

Against anyone under ATG it can't really be taken advantage of, but put him in with the bigger greats and it becomes a factor/fly in the ointment.

You sure the hell act like a kid. Can't you voice an opinion without resorting to name calling? Only a kid or those with low IQ's stoop to name calling and it's particularly offensive when it's directed at boxers.

But then again age and intelligence aren't necessarily correlated.

Good post. It always amazes me how some posters say how great Tyson's inside fighting was. They confuse it with mid range. If you want to see a great inside fighter watch Duran and the differences are obvious.

Exactly right Vanman. Tyson at mid range might be the most devasting heavyweight ever. Shorten that and he is most ordinary.

Tyson shatters Lewis' glass jaw, there's no doubt in my mind about that. He was too ferocious and skilled in his prime, he had top conditioning as well.

I'm not sure on the Holyfield fight, I don't think Tyson could TKO or KO him unless Holyfield tries to brawl him. Even then he might lose a decision and not actually get KO'd.

Holyfield mentioned how everyone pulled back away from Tyson which is suicide. He said the way to fight him is to push him back, be the aggressor, come in close.

Lewis had a point deducted from holding the worst Mike Tyson that ever stepped inside the ring.

That and the fact he went life and death with Mercer is evidence enough that a prime Tyson renders him in a fetal position for 40 seconds.

No, Tyson was a good inside fighter in his prime.

He became a mid range one shot hitta in his post prison years.

50:50 with lewis. Lennox had all the tools to deal with Tyson for a points win over him or late tko, except perhaps he lacked that 110% optimum level of concentration/speed of thought that might see him get stopped. But he'd win the return.

Holyfield has the better chance, 60:40, he was cut from a different cloth. But his drug use counts against him, so maybe he wouldn't hold the advantage without his extensive PED abuse.

What was your pathetic quote about a lie being told long enough becoming the truth, again.

Lewis had a point deducted for pushing the limpet like Tyson over when he was hanging on to Lennox's thighs rather than go down.

Yes, despite Cotton's best efforts Lewis still KO'd the cretin in 8.
