James Toney had a whole career at middleweight and never won a world title at heavyweight

Chris Byrd has 1 fight at middleweight then goes up to light heavy in his next fight, then cruiser and finally becomes a full fledged heavyweight and actually wins a legitimate world title ( twice ) and defended it a handfull of times against fairly decent opposition

Nope, Toney was a heck of a counter puncher in his prime, but his style is to fight in close range countering everyting, Vitaly long jab will cause him problems the same way every fighter that have a great jab and reach and had fought Toney cause him problems.

and first off toneys prime was not HW. so its kinda hard . i guess if toney was in his prime and was a heavyweight then it would be intresting fight but were in la la land talking about this fight ne way.

 

Common man, are you kidding me? Byrd was getting owned until Vitali wasn't able to continue because of his shoulder injury. You should watch the fight instead of saying pure bull****. Don't believe everything you read.

It does serve to highlight what a raw deal Chris Byrd gets on here though - the man is criminally treated by posters on here.

 

yeah they are. i dont hate them though there isnt anyone for them to fight and they dont bring too much excitment when they do fight.

 

Doubt that Burger Kings biggest supporter would have decisioned Vitali, though he would have made in interesting.
