That’s a good one! I think I’d go with Old Foreman… just can’t get the Stewart / Morrison fights out of my head, neither guy was on Quarry’s level as a boxer, Quarry either by UD or Foreman cuts him up with his telephone pole jab / looping punches, elbows and roughhousing. I think Quarry was hittable enough for GF to possibly wear down with his body punches, jab and dirty tactics.

Quarry may give him some issues like Alex Steward did, but if it’s the Foreman from the Cooper fight for example, I think he busts Quarry up with that jab and wins a stoppage or on cuts.

I'm sure there will be some people going with Quarry and his counter punching style to beat Foreman. Even Foreman himself held Quarry in high regard and pointed out how troubling Quarry would be and used Quarry's victories over Shavers and Lyle as an example of how dangerous Quarry was. With that said, I think 90's Foreman was more equipped to beat Quarry because he was a more methodical and patient fighter than 70's Foreman. With Foreman's awareness of Quarry's counterpunching style, I could see him working behind the jab and not providing those counter opportunities that Quarry was so good at exploiting. The sheer size of 90's Foreman and much improved defensive ability is a problem for Quarry. I think Foreman bust him up with the jab and takes him out by the mid rounds.

I could be way off but I think 90's Foreman is a way tougher fight for Quarry than the 70's version. George was a way more rounded and patient fighter in his 40's and that is needed when facing an elite counter puncher like Quarry.

Foreman rips his face open with the jab and TKO’s him.

That's the most probable scenario in my opinion. That jab would do damage.

I would give Quarry a fair chance at winning a decision over second career George Foreman. It’s not something I’d be confident enough to bet on but I can see it happening

Quarry is giving up 50-55 pounds. That's a lot.

Either version of Foreman would be favored. The Foreman of Frazier/Norton/Ali busts him right up for mine. Foreman ain't no Earnie Shavers (or Ron Lyle for that matter), he's far more durable and levels better in dolling out his offense. He's also far more effective in using his strength to get into advantageous positions. He'd tear Quarry's face right up.

Old Foreman actually has more trouble IMO. His economy would allow Quarry to settle into things and George would have to be pretty selective in his gameplan. Quarry might have a chance of building up a points lead. Quarry is at a big disadvantage in reach tho, as well as a notable difference in height. He'd have to counter well enough to stymie some of Foreman's offense and workrate.
