Well, Mormeck done what he needed to do to become Unidisputed Champion and that included beating Virgil Hill.

All Jirov, Gomez, and Toney ever had was one belt. Mormeck and Haye unified the entire the divison, that elavates them to a higher level.

Ludicrous. Compare fighters on their skill level. Mormeck is a tough, tough fighter but he simply was not as good as Jirov, Gomez or Toney. A clear step below. Bell gave Mormeck all kinds of fits and Bell was basically a pot shot type fighter. Toney would have carved up Mormeck and I think Jirov stops him on attrition and Gomez either stops him late or takes a UD.

Yeah, Jirov tired late against Toney and was knocked down. Against Haye running out of stanima could get him knocked out.

This thread is actually kind of embarressing. Haye has beat better fighters than Jirov and is on a different level, Haye proved that at Cruiserweight! It is nonsense even considering this fight.

Jirov by TKO as soon as Haye is gassing. Prime Jirov was a tough, tough warrior who could take a punch, even Hayes. CW was Jirovs division, and he was a very good fighter there, certainly better than Haye. Haye never faced anybody nearly as good as a prime Jirov. So what Jirov only had one belt? Well he ran into Toney who was a stylistical nightmare for him, and even in that fight he gave us a great performance - if it hadn't been for Toney I guess Jirov would've stayed at CW and maybe we would never have heard about Haye, with Mormeck only having been a WBA beltholder who fell victim to Jirov...

I could see Jirov putting pressure on Haye right from the start, going to Hayes body and wearing him down. Haye would gas in round 5 or 6 and Jirov would finish him with some brutal shots to Hayes glass chin.

Jirov before he went up to heavyweight to fight Mesi was an awesome cruiserweight, and an awkward southpaw with an unmatched workrate...Haye wouldnt have enough smarts to beat him at that weight.

Im picking Jirov by a pummeling KO in later rounds

Jirov lost his title on what, his 7th defense? He was a beast in his prime.

Mormeck is overrated, so is Bell... they just prop those guys up to make Haye look better.

Mormeck was over-the-hill and had NO stamina, yet he still almost starched Haye.

Haye couldnt take 12 rounds of hard fighting from jirov he would be grinded downed and stopped.. Who has haye fought? what did he prove at Cruiser exactly? Jirov was considered the best cruiser for years and cleaned out the division before losing in a war to Toney... Jirov would not of been stopped by a light heavy and put down from a middle weight so no Haye has fought suspect comp so far in his short career people seem to forget how Jirov dominated at that weigt for a while. Haye nut huggers are getting old he is not superman :patsch all the tarded fans saying he has the heaviest handed fighter in the pro game.
