When Calzaghe was on form he was phenomenal.. special fighter, but he's pretty untested at light HW, both he & Hop had seen better days.. his speed, workrate, engine and angles would give a lot of fighters fits imo tho .. including AB , but his domain was 168 so its hard to pick him here
Calzaghe is one of the guys who could actually match the work rate of Beterbiev, but in both his LHW fights he got caught early and went down
Calzaghe dominates Beterbiev from beginning to end, far too versatile and adaptable and would be one step ahead of Artur every inch of the way.
Hopkins, Roy Jones, Mitchell and Salem all put Calzaghe down with a short crisp right hand... and Beterbiev has the most powerful short crisp right hand punch I seen in boxing. Beterbiev breaks Calzaghe.
No Hopkins thread yet? The Tarver version of Hopkins vs. Beterbiev would be interesting. I would bet on Hopkins.
