I am basing it on the fact that Froch does nothing better than Calzaghe bar having more power.

He has an ubsurdly open defence and distinctly average handspeed, and even if he could "walk through" Calzaghe he does not have anywhere near the footspeed to get inside, nor the ability to outdo Calzaghe if he did get in.

It would be easy work for Calzaghe, it would be easy work for Kessler, easy work for Dawson and Hopkins? Hopkins, would beat Froch with one hand tied behind his back and make him look like a joke.

    :hi:

You must have been watching a different fight. Froch was outclassed right up to round 10 when Taylor started to gas. It was a shutout victory for Taylor if he'd lasted beyond the last 14 seconds. Froch will be beaten in his next fight against quality opposition, someone with Stamina (not bute!!)

The Robin Reid fight was ten years ago!!!
Joe was in a tough fight against Reid, who was good then(he was robbed in Germany against Ottke in 03). But Joe got better after that.

If your talking about the knockdown in Jones fight, the replay shows Jones' forearm doing the damage.

Robin Reid got tronced by a 8 y Malinga...just before the Joe fight.

A domestic fight is a tough fight to fight in...You dont have a partisan crowd...both fighters will have fans..that plays a big part.

And yes jones did knock Joe with a forearm...and it was hardly clean. Jones couldnt even get Primce adamu's respect or Anthony Hanshaw's respect prior to the joe fight. I can only imagine how long Joe would have lasted with a prime Jones

    But we'll never know.
Plus this is prime joe vs froch thread, and i still say Froch is too open, hands to low, little to no guard.
Joe would outbox him to very wide UD. :D

Taylor is a far crisper punr than Joe with far better punch Technique.

Froch wont go into shell like Kessler....u force kessler back he puts his hands up and doesnt counter. After you attack he attacks.

Froch like Reid will punch with JOE and also catch him plenty...landing the better cleaner shots.

Joe though like against Reid will be busier....and eak out an SD
