    Marciano via late KO.

  2. :think mm no problem poor old man

  3. my opinion on this topic is, joe louis in his prime would have great chance against marciano, if walcott could knock down rocky, definitely louis would do better, but rocky was a pressure boxer, bad style for louis , he could take a punch, and he was a very hard puncher(harder than louis, yes). louis had worse chin, if schmeling could beat a prime louis once, definitely rocky can too. i can see both ways honestly. and like i said before to say "prime louis would win 100%" it is a bull****, louis is overrated by his fans.
he had good hand speed, great combinations, he was very accurate, he was skilled. but his chin wasn´t great, his footwork =****, he was too static .the best louis weighed 198 pounds. he wasn´t exactly a giant. and he didn´t fight in the best era.i can name tons of hws who would have beat any rival of louis.(max baer, braddock, galento, godoy, budy, abe simon,carnera,conn,schmmeling,walcott,charles..) he was good but he wasn´t tested with great rivals, he did look better than he was really.

( i hope a better argument that " joe louis is not overrated, you know nothing on boxing" because it is the most stupid argument")

I saw and loved Rocky Marciano..BUT there is no way Marciano would have survived
the awesome speed and power leverage ,of the Joe Louis of the Max Baer [prime]
era.Louis, in the Baer fight took plenty of Baer's hard punches, and withstood them
until he chopped down the granite chin of Baer.
As some writer once wrote,"the human body was not made to withstand the punches of
a Joe Louis attack ", and I agree.. Louis, by early ko of the brave Marciano...

There is a world of diference between being theoreticaly able to beat any of Louis's oponents, and actualy beating them all.

His schedule alone would have been too much for most of the fighters you have listed.

Louis would decimate Marciano. Far better offense, and a better defense, and a size advantage.

Saint Rock casts a fart upon the crowd curing them of all ailments and frailties, also causing an apostasy in Louis, who immediately retires to handle the problems of world hunger. Rock ascends to heaven that the Lord can sit at his right side.

I made this thread over a year ago you putz. You're just mad cause you got exposed again for being an idiot, again.

Way to help bump it such a meaningless thread then. That's what the self-important attention ***** named She Grant would do.

As for this thread I remember thinking this after hearing Goldman's thoughts after the fight (Not that I didn't think he could until I heard this. Just validated my thoughts). Goldman said Louis would have came at Rocky and that's a no-no. That might not be the case but Louis would've stood his ground far more, and maybe would've considered pushing Marciano back with his jab. Probably looks more like the Godoy fights. If Louis concedes backing up he's losing some steam in those punches though.

As of now I think the fight's a tossup. I think Louis maybe actually deserves to be the favorite
