I rewatched the FOTC and wondered, what if prime Louis fought Frazier. Now Louis was as quick and accurate as Ali and as adept at throwing combinations, but had punching power more in line with Foreman's. How does this fight go?

71 Frazier was pure prime aggressive and relentless. Hard fight to call. No one ever faced the 71 Frazier Ali faced, he wasn't the same after the FOC. Most will say Louis, but its a fight I can see him losing also. Hes a better puncher Louis but I don't think hes a heavier puncher than foreman !

I don't think he's a heavier hitter either, but I do think he was more in line with Foreman in punching power than with Ali. But it is a tough fight to call. I'd lean towards Louis, though.

Louis has a very good chance of hurting Frazier early and finishing him in short order. If Frazier makes it past 3 rounds Louis gets brutally stopped.

Brutally stopped as opposed to regularly stopped?

Concur. Several people hurt Frazier early...Ramos, Bonavena, Ali (fight 2), and of course Big George.

A bad match up for Frazier .. no one including Tyson combined this level of speed and power ... throw in that Louis could box behind n excellent jab and it's just a bad fight for Frazier, a fighter I think of very highly ..
