Prime Joe Louis vs. Ezzard Charles

Louis wins but just a shout out to Ezzard Charles who was one of the best fighters of all time.

 

Prime Joe Louis stops him in the middle to late round s.
Charles makes it exciting and close to start but the thudding power of Louis gradually takes it s toll on Ezz.

Ezz is the greater fighter but prime Joe is the better HW.

Ezz will outclass him at times, but Joe will out punch him and I don't think Ezz's chin holds up against the very best of HW punchers.

 

Charles would be a tough challenge for any version of Louis, but I pick Louis to win. Charles had good hands and was tough, but Joe was the best power combination puncher. Over 15 round I like Joe by a stoppage, but Ezzard would be one of his hardest fights.
