"Louis by murder" MY ASS. The version of Parker we're seeing go around now would be his toughest fight apart from Schmeling, and without a doubt, his best scalp apart from Max.

Louis wins with difficulty, I think that both fighters might go down in this, but I'm not sure that it'd end before they met the final round. Louis stops him for sure if it's a 15 rounder, but Parker might last through 12.

Ali has the fastest legs of any heavyweight and even he could only match Conn's speed when weighing 205 pounds.

Nope. Louis was much faster even with his feet. He was usually moving slowly because he was stalking, and you never want to move fast going forward, it's a great way to run into a punch or lose counter opportunities.
When he had to circle or back away, Louis was very quick. Fast twitch wasn't isolated to his arms, that would be nonsensical.

I like Joe Parker but you might be overrating his footspeed. He wasn't especially quick even when younger. Nothing compared to guys like Holmes, Tunney, Conn, Walcott etc. He looked relatively quick footed compared to the overweight guys he has fought but i have never seen him as a fleet footed guy.

Even if you believe Parker has quicker feet than Louis, he is nowhere near quick enough to dance away from Louis. He is a 240 lb man and that large body presents a relatively easy target.

And the difference in terms of hand speed is major. Parker has good hand speed, maybe an 8 out of 10 at best. Louis is a 10 out of 10. That is a drastic difference in hand speed.

Parker would just be another guy in a long list of fighters to get KTFOd by Louis.

PED's are massive factor in this question. Today they are on much better PED's that what existed 80-90 years ago.

If Louis also gets them he wins. If not then he loses.

Thank you for proving my point that just because someone weighs more doesn't mean they're going to be slower.

    Stopped reading here.

Never said anything about Parker easily just dancing circles around Louis all night, only that his combination of size, skill, and footwork present significant stylistic problems for Louis who always had trouble with movers and technicians.
