    I agree, except Valuev had a wingspan exactly average for his height- 7' in both cases.
    Boxers often have more, but some do not.
    Unless his chest was unusually broad even for his height, then his reach was typical for his height. Gigantic by normal standards.

    Joe Louis defeated Max Baer Sr's brother Buddy Baer, on May 23 1941, DQ 7. Buddy did give Joe problems, but was disqualified, but Buddy was huge. As I said, I saw him on an old episode of Gunsmoke, he was bigger than actor James Arness, and he stood at 6"6. Valuev is a monster with a huge face and body. Louis would have to work that body to be victorious, late stoppage due to exhaustion, but Valuev is no joke. Louis would be hurt at times.

    Size does not matter when you have the ATG skills and punching power of Louis. I could see Joe ending it very early or a longer dragged out beating over ten or more rounds if Louis decides to box.

    The size kings/queens at it again. Louis would break a fighter that slow, that unskilled, that wide open in half. People forget how viscous a body puncher Louis was also( and all that extra punching area on Valuev) Valuev would be peeing blood by the 8th rd. Fight over in 10. That if Louis doesn't go into Schmeling # 2 mode. Than its murder much earlier.
