I don't think Tyson is just gonna bore in aimlessly knowing how hard Louis hits. He's gonna apply head movement and land counter punches as louis throws his. Tyson will move in, land combos, then step out. He'll keep doing this until one of his punches seruiously hurt Louis then hell pounce knowing Louis is less dangerous.:good
I disagree. Michael Gerard Tyson is not your ordinary come-forward fighter, so this is almost a moot point. When Mike Tyson hits you, the last thing you want to be doing is moving backward. But when you combine the difference in durablilty, and difference in ability to avoid punches altogether, then the situation changes. Tyson is not gonna just stick his chin out and take punches. He will force Louis to throw punches at him and then move out of the wauy and throw hard counters. That will be his gameplan.:good
Louis Ko'd many more than just 2 top fighters in one round, neither was he a slow starter, but he would have trouble with Tyson's pressure, I'll give you that.
Mostly jabs. means nothing. Anybody can have a ridiculous worrate by throwing jabs every other punch. Watch Ali's fights in the 60s.
Tyson uses different types of headmovement. If one method doesn't work, he'll just try another. Likewise Tyson was at his beat when the other guy was hurt.:yep
I'll give you that, but knowing his problem with pressure fighters, personally I don't think this ends well for Louis. Maybe so, but Louis will be in hellish trouble moving back and taking chin-checkers. When you have a combined package like Mike Tyson, those odds are beaten to the ground. Why not? Tyson was a smart fighter, as was Rooney a smart trainer. He's not gonna allow Tyson to try to go commando style wide open on a dangerous, fast puncher like Louis. Tyson had very fast feet and could step in with combos and step out when finished.:good
Not just jabs. There are a whole heap of power shots in there as well. Look how many punches Baer takes when Louis is on the inside. I dont know what was holding him up there.
Okay, so you're watching Tyson walking through jabs and one-twos and I must be on crack for simply stating that Thomas landed jabs and one-twos ?!
Tyson can rough him up as well, and more so. I think Tyson's heart in his prime was underrated. A look at the Ruddock fights might change some minds.
