People forget that Roy Jones had one punch KO power at 160 and 168. He KO'd Tate, who went the distance with Julian Jackson, and Malinga, who went the distance with Benn.

Don't forget the iron chins of the fighters at 160 and 168 we are discussing though.

And also don't forget a clean version of Jones wouldn't have the same power. :good

Was it my imagination or was Jones caught taking an over the counter supplement as opposed to shooting syringes full of testosterone into his eye*****?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of consensus on what he took. just saying 'peds' is pretty vague.

People who said the RJJ who knocked out 5 ft 7 MG would do the same to Kovalev made me laugh.

Kovalev would have killed Griffin in much brutal fashion the Roy nuthangers hang onto that victory.
He certainly wouldn't have lasted 9rds like in the first contest.

Sure he would .. You clearly haven't watched much of a prime Roy to say something as re****ed as this

So you're ignoring the first round knockout I see. Roy was the only one to do that to Griffin. Kovalev coukdnt knockout a 50 year old man yet people think he's going to stop a prime Jones lol.

Yes, but the version prior was juicing. Anyone can look a lot better than they actually are with the sauce in them. If Jones was as good as you claim, why did he need to juice and not just win fair and square like Calzaghe did all of his fights? :think

Sad times. Froch would somehow beat a prime Roy Jones. Kovalev knocks out Roy. Fighters like Mayweather and Pac are called overrated while people pretend someone like Kahn is something special. I just don't get it.

Not ignoring the 1st round knockout.

you use that fight to tell us how great RJJ was.
Kovalev would have knocked out Griffin within 1 round.
Explain why RJJ couldn't beat Griffin in 9 rds during his first attempt if he's so damn great?
"He fell out of love with boxing, and played baseball?"

    Listen to yourselves.

DM knocked out Griffin in 4rds.
Kovalev had much more power than DM and would have finished him much sooner.
Griffin 5'7 vs Kov 6'2 at 175lbs in a mismatch.

It's irrelevant. It was a Performance Enhancing Drug. Which means Roy Jones was confident enough to win with his natural ability like Calzaghe did all 46 times he stepped into the ring. Jones is a disgrace to the sport. :good

Roy still had pretty good power at 175. He KO'd Hill and Griffin.

It's very rare that a fighter's power carries when he moves up a weight class, and Roy was a smallish MW.

Yet Joe's natural ability wouldn't allow him to test himself against great fighters in their prime unlike ROY !

That's why it took him 10 yrs to unify and his own promoter had to talk him into fights

So you think over the counter supplements could turn any boxer into Roy Jones Jr. Gotcha.
